Somebody Will Die by Coderah
Somebody Will Die is a game about harvest. Organ harvest!
In this post-apocalyptic mashup of retro art styles, your job is to help your compound survive.

In Somebody Will Die, you are not meant to just go around killing people (although that may be one way to accomplish your goals).
Controls: - WASD to move - click on people to interact, also click to progress in dialogs
Instead, gameplay is a satisfying blend of: - world roaming - pattern matching - dialogue trees - ethical pondering - rolls of the dice - just a liiiiittle bit of stabbing
Our dreams for future gameplay features: - character customization - massive multiplayer online mode - mini-game fights with NPCs or other players - memory of previous gameplay (find your own dead body!)
Play if You Dare

This is the second Ludum Dare entry from interactive art collective Say Nothing and Leave (see our first entry here).
We had a lot of fun trying to chop away at our big, complex ideas this time so that we could land on something simple and manageable. Happy to report that no one ended up in tears this time, and we even sort of had a life over the weekend!
CONCEPT: Alex Howard & Ellie DiBerardino
GAME ENGINE & DEVELOPMENT: Alex Howard

Good luck out there.

There is a place on map where you can get stuck. Be aware of rocks :)
Actually, I liked this gsme bc It seem to be simple but with really cool mechanic
In my opinion game could benefit from smaller location and less walking
@aisus Thanks for playing! note taken, I think if the world had more thoughtful content it would feel better to explore. As it stands its entirely generated (and maybe too big considering that), with one easter egg exception ;)
@maymay hehe yay! glad you enjoyed it and found those silly endings :D
@JoshH hahah thanks for playing and the feedback! Shotguns weren't really the vibe we were going for but I hear you on the wolves, overall I think we ended up with a harder game than we really wanted :D
@minakorii hehe, those wolves are cute until they spot ya! Thank you for playing!
The fact that you have to pay attention to stuff like the organ size, expiration and even the blood compatibility is fascinating to me! It brings me back to my recent biology classes and I'm really happy how they went for accuracy. It made me stick around to play more.
There were some small moments where I got slightly frustrated with the RNG aspect, especially when I was going down back home and 5 wolves started chasing in total haha, but hey RNG can raise the steaks in a game, I get it, so it didn't ruin the experience for me.
I'm really excited to see where the game will go from here. I wish you the best of luck with it!
This one was definitely a challenge, for a few reasons! Firstly, the search across so many variables to find a match is tough (which is a good education about the reality of organ donors ...). Secondly, the wolves were a bit rough, especially when moving south. Without being able to see ahead of you, you really just hoped you were retracing your steps enough. Definitely a challenge!
There were a few times that I was certain I had found a match, but when I got back, the size didn't match. Are you sure there isn't a bug?? I found a O- large body on my last run, narrowly avoided wolves on the way back, only to find the organs were marked as small :(
All in all, I found this title VERY interesting to play. The dialogue was also a joy to read (as you know). Thank you for this!!
