Harvest Souls - Our first adventure into game development. My friends and I had an adventure making this game. It was way more fun that I thought it was. Looking forward to the next jam!

Nice idea for a game, but it was VERY short. It took me really just like 30 seconds haha.

Besides the short level, the gameplay is really smooth and fun. I would appreciate maybe more enemies and stuff, but I liked the throwing of the souls, nice little mechanic. Maybe it would be cool to use those souls as projectiles, or play basketball with them haha. Graphics and animations are amazing. It looks like a full released game.

Super cute! really nice artwork for the little souls and the player character.
Throwing felt very good even though I didn't really understand the point of it until the end. felt like it was meant to have more uses but got cut back. Was difficult to tell whether or not I was hitting the enemy until the soul popped out of it, something like the enemy sprite blinking white on hit would have increased satisfaction there. But the jumping felt very good and I had a fun time hopping from platform to platform.

Thank you for the feedback! I love the basketball idea!

The enemy should be blinking white on hit. We were also thinking of adding some knock back but was short on time since the enemy does seem like it is unfazed by getting sliced in the face.

Our idea with throwing the souls is that they should deal damage but again was short on time implementing those.

Really cute start to a fun idea! It would be nice to have more levels and more function for the soul-throwing, but the product provided looks great.
