What a neat strange adventure ! Really loved the tone of everything, not to long to be boring and quite interesting with greate sense of humor. I really wonder what's with this familly and... this juice.

Doesn't need an installer tho it's kind of annoying, but that's detail. Great work !

A cool game with chill sound :relaxed:, only two things upset me: there is no way to lie on the couch all day and the inability to give strawberry juice to my grandmother :_(

Love the pixelated artstyle, I always enjoy playing story-based games so, naturally I had some fun with this one. Thanks for sharing :)

I'm unfortunately not able to play this game because my computer thinks that this .exe is a virus. Game jam games shouldn't require an installation anyway though.

Kept me intrigued until the end, very clever writing!

Amazing job! I love the twists and mystery surrounding it... I thought the mood of this game was incredible, almost giving Doki Doki Literature Club feelings... Nice job! You deserve a great rating!

Very cool! I didn't expect a game like this with the harvest theme, very creative! I love the art style!

Just fyi, I don't think lots of people would be willing to install a game like that. It would be best if you could just provide the executable + assets.

At the beginning of the game, I thought it was a simple game of looking for dogs. I didn't expect that someone would disappear in my home every day. I felt very scared. This reminds me of the plot of The Witch's House

Nice little story! I agree it would be nice to provide just the exe (or web version).

I really liked the transition animation when you enter or leave rooms.

Thanks everyone for all the feedback so far!

@azel-wkr, @offworlddemon, @mactinite, @christian-zommerfelds - You all mentioned the game could do without an installer, and that's a great point - so we added a download link to a version of the game with just the executable and assets.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for uploading an executable version! It was a nice little adventure. The sense of humor reminded me of Earthbound/Undertale. I just wish I knew what the deal with the strawberry juice was. Though, maybe it's better if I don't know.

The executable helped a lot, its great that you listened to the comments! Also the game is great! If you want to further work on it maybe you can make something like "House" on steam. But yeah all around amazing! :))

Wonderful entry! Its rare to see a thought out in-depth story in a jam game and you got something special here! Well Done!

How dark the game is! I really shuddered an the end of the game. Remember that don't go to bed after you drink a strawberry juice!!!

I enjoyed the game a lot! I think you made some good decisions for the game concept to fit the jam format. The story carried a lot of the weight for the game to keep me interested. The art also looks pretty polished for the simple style you went for. The twist gave a lot more depth to the game than if you played the "harvest time" theme straight. I did feel like I didn't have much agency in the plot. Not that I have to make choices to branch the story or anything but even little things like filling the dog bowl help break up the feeling of just "wake up, get the juice, work at the bush, go to sleep to progress the plot". Even though I liked the story twist I feel like there could have been a bit more to it too. I figured it out fairly early and I was trying to guess about exactly what was going on but it seemed a bit all over the place. Anyway, it's very impressive you got as much in to the game in the jam time frame as you did, I had a fun time with the game.

Good spooky atmosphere, writing, art, and music all worked well and were up to a good standard. The fate of the mum was very unsettling, more stuff along those lines could have been a bit more interesting than just people disappearing. great noises on the last night!

I wake up. Drink strange juice. Stare at dead bush for ten hours. Go back to sleep. Repeat. Life is good.

The plot was a little easy to predict but I still really enjoyed and was constantly entertained by the writing and seeing what happened next.

Yeah, I think like others I thought it was going to be a...normal game. Definitely took a dark twist. Would like to hear an explanation about what is happening, is evil strawberries doing this? Is the main character delusional? ...Are the people being harvested? Things like the mom being replaced and the sign breaking make me think it's something doing it to them and not just people disappearing. Or maybe you just were trying to make something spooky. Either way, it changed tone quite nicely.

Nice game ! I didn't expect the story to take this way, but this was well staged.
Graphics are also nice with consistent sprites and colors.
I liked the fact that the music is less and less day after day

Very intriguing. Coherent art style and general aesthetic, really enjoyed the sound design and induced atmosphere. Maybe that's just me, but for my taste, things could've gotten even weirder ;-)

Okay, I did not expect this kind of story based off of the graphics on the project page here. While there isn't much gameplay, there is definitely a story being told here. While I would advise including some more gameplay, like maybe a berry picking minigame, the game does what it was designed to do. Even though the plot twist was predictable, the last 2 days were actually a little creepy.
