Shape-Shift Escape by keyboardmonkey

[raw]
made by keyboardmonkey for LD33 (JAM)
You are a changeling monster locked up in a secret lab. You must escape before they test you to death!

A point-and-click adventure game created using the SLUDGE game engine.
Sound effects generated with SFXR (opted out of voting in this category).
Pixel art by me.

I had a day short, but this game is completable. Enjoy :)

Awesome game! Loved the shapeshifting touch as a way to perform and hide a lot of didactic activities, joining it with humorous lines that brightens the story itself. Would love to see more from you on this 16bits style.

Short but sweet. This could make a good prologue to a more full-featured point-and-click adventure. :3

Overall I really enjoyed this game, I found the style of point and click you were going for was really innovative and lead to fun gameplay by solving puzzles in an unorthodox way. I think it suited the theme perfectly in a very unique way and some of the dialogue was quite funny. The music and art lead to a perfect game mood and overall I only see some thins that need to be improved, well done.

Loved it, great humour and an original premise. This would make a great adventure game if you expanded it.

Ahh that felt just right. Funny, well themed, good puzzles. Thanks for not letting me fail the game making silly mistakes. Great work with all the art and music. Really nailed the Point and Click feel that I remember.

Well done!

A mercifully short point and click (I'm terrible at them!).
You should have used the shape shifting mechanic more. Couldn't the monster also turn into inanimate objects? Change size? Shape shifting is great for stealth. Not sure how you'd do that in a P&C.

Found a few bugs:
- The shape shift animation has a slight glitch.
- The guard at the security rooms says "hands off" even when the coffee has been spilled and while unconscious.

Go point and click adventure games! We don't have enough of them in the jam!

I really enjoyed this. Music went well and I loved the "security question" :)

Cute visuals! I found the shape-shifting aspect a nice addition making this a well rounded game, the only thing I can moan about is that it's too short! But y'know, 3 days...

Really fun! I kind of wish you were able to do the wrong thing and get found out rather than being told that you couldn't do it though. Overall it was a very good game though.
