A VICIOUS CYCLE

CREDZ buys CROPS which generate more CREDZ, but, BUGS eat CROPS. BOTS kill BUGS, and, BUGS drop GUTZ that fertilize your CROPS.

FERTILIZATION FRENZY is a tower defense game with a focus on planting crops, protecting them, and making money. You are a farmer trying to make a humble living. But, it ain't easy! Giant alien insects threaten your yield. The annoying chittering things don't know that they're also great fertilizer.

Grow your wealth by planting new crops. Protect your farm from swarms by installing FUMIGIANTS, huge mechanical anti-bug weapons. Use the bug guts as fertilizer and immediately cash in on all of your planted crops. Survive as long as you can!

Great concept! Needs upgrade on towers on something else to do. Overall interesting concept. Though did feel like I had a bit too much money at the end after triggering a fertilization harvest.

Amazing accomplishment in such a short amount of time. It plays smooth and fun. Nice job!
Amulet is a great game engine too!

Love the sound effects and fumigant assets! Both are really clean and fun. I would have loved to see the How to Play Graphic appear in the game. It's so well done and would have set me off on the right foot. I also think some form of tutorial would have been nice given all of the intricacies of different swarm types and land types. I think these would have been easier to pick up a couple at a time vs having to memorize all of them immediately but understand it's difficult to do all of these in the scope of a jam. Overall, great job! I had a lot of fun playing

Didn't know it was possible to make such good game in so little time. Feel reminded me a lot of OpenTTD mixed with age of empires.

I can't stay alive for two minutes hahaha.
Game doesn't have to complicate to be fun, this one is simple and fun.
Really like it.

I really enjoyed playing this! Core loop, art, music, sound effects, everything was on point. Besides the admission about the code not resetting the scene upon failure, I really enjoyed it. I saw someone mention about having too much money, but I honestly think it's in the sweet spot. It made me excited to see it shooting up there. Great work everyone.

I agree with artman that the money skyrocked quite easily, but I think that is understandable for the amount of stuff I can buy. I think if the game would be exapnded, the money will be less skyrocketing, since you can buy better, more expensive towers. It was a fun game to play.

Good simple game. I like the music and the isometric visual style.

I did run into the what seemed like a performance issue while playing the web version. With about 20 farms and 20 fumigants, the framerate dropped and the audio began stuttering.

Really love the art and the little work you made here. Game starts to lag out pretty fast though.

The overall vibe is chill. Just set up and let it run. Felt like I ran out of stuff to do about the same time the game started chugging in browser, might have to do with the number of projectiles on screen or something.
I like the tower defense vibe without needing to set up for a particular path.
Stays on theme pretty well, though maybe make it so the player has to do the harvesting? Just a thought, great entry overall.

Expanded until framerates dropped to 4-6fps xD
This was a simple, yet very addicting game. Laid back and satisfying indeed. Awesome game!

Cool game that doesn't do a lot of weird mechanics but keeps it simple and creates a tighter gameplay instead. Good audio and visuals. I really enjoyed playing it. Great job!

Really solid game, I enjoy just exploding out of control in growth (heh). But I felt like it was over too soon. After about a minute the game started lagging from too many crops, and another minute later the entire screen was filled up. Did I miss some way of moving the camera around?

The game was fun, but unfortunately I had some problems with balancing and performance.
If you start early on to place fumigators at the map edges, no bugs will ever reach your crops.
After around two minutes, the game died:

The graphics were nice and the music is soothing, but the gameplay could use some more polish (which also applies to UI). Congrats for your submission!

I managed to make as far as this before the game got too choppy to function but hey! that's far enough for me to figure the game out and I gotta say, I like it. Something about the art is nostalgic for some reason and tickles my senses.
Beyond the art, I think the interlocking mechanics are intriguing and it was fun to figure them out. Always appreciate a lua game, too! :D wooo lua!

Awesome work. The art and music feel very cohesive together. I can tell that the team had a vision in mind and executed it well. Really cozy TD that fits well with the theme of the jam. Great job!

Fun: Definitely some fun to be had here, placing turrets and growing crops are both fun activities. This could be improved with upgrades / unlocks for both the farms and the turrets. I think the balance of the game also made it too easy once your trigger your first fertilization frenzy.

Innovation: The theme complemented in a unique way with the turret defense. One way to make this more unique would be to have the turrets behave in a more unexpected way than just shooting the bugs, maybe they put out clouds of bug killer in areas or shoot fire.

Theme: Good use of the theme, including the fertilization frenzy really upped how much theme was in the game.

Graphics: Simple, clean graphics with some details. I think the difference in heights looked really nice.

Audio: Enjoyable song loop, it didn't really fit with the game in my opinion, but it was still enjoyable. The rest of the sounds were okay, a bit jarring at times.

I like the isometric look of the game, and the background music. The mechanics are easy to understand and really enjoyable!

The music and graphics are amazing! The game is really easy to understand and I like that the tower defense is in a isometric view instead of the usual top down. I however think that the game lacks an overall goal, and it is really easy to defend against the waves. Anyway, good job!

This is a great game actually! It seems complete and consistent. The idea, graphics and balance all done well. I was really enjoyed playing FF. I want bigger map, more building and upgrades for building. In general, really-really neat game!

The game is very unbalanced, and performance tanks very early on. But the idea is good.
