The music and UI between levels are done really well. Good job!
I did hit a bug where I managed to put 2 corn into a 1 corn order, resulting in a -1, though was still send the order in.
I think it can be very good after some fixes: picking stuff from the same tile is hard, need some highlighting; learning curve is a bit too fast in the start); some animations for using instrumets will be usefull.
Well done)
My main suggestion for improvement is just the user experience and onboarding. You had it in quite a few places, like if I tried to water the ground when there were no crops, I got a error blip noise, that was helpful to tell me I'm doing the wrong thing. A bit more of that and I think your players will understand exactly what they need to do.
Understandably this was Compo (congrats on that!) so you may have been working towards that anyway and just ran out of time. Definitely something to be proud of here, nice work.
Despite the steep learning curve and poor difficulty scaling, its amazing seeing so many people play this and say it was a hectic and enjoyable experience. The fact that we all participated and went through the trials of a time crunch helps a sense of togetherness. Playing each other's games, we all get it and can appreciate what people are able to accomplish in such a short time. Loving this community!
I agree with some of the earlier comments about how difficult it is to figure out what's going on initially. A tutorial of some kind would really help. Some other random feedback:
- I found a bug where if you left click/right click too fast the tool you're holding with starts to float away.
- I feel pretty stupid admitting this, but the seed box looks really similar to the order box. I genuinely tried to put the seeds on the conveyor belts several times before I realized what I was supposed to do...
- I couldn't figure out how to get my apples onto the conveyor belt at all. I threw them off the screen, but I don't think it counted.
I thought you were supposed to plant and throw things down the conveyor belt. I grabbed my seed packet (or i thought it was) and kept throwing it on the ground. Nothing. Grabbed the tools. Threw them on the soil. Not even a dent. Frustration builds.
I look at others. I look at the descriptions. I see that others have enjoyed this legendary game. I keep trying.
I grab the frames as others have called them and chuck them around. Nothing seems to be working. I grab the item that looks like a little shovel and throw it at the ground. I finally discover you are to left click the shovel item thing at the ground. This ... is something! I can do something. I then look intently at the instructions. "Hoe > Plant seed > Water > Wait > Scythe > Put veggie in order box > put order box on conveyor belt"
ok. got the hoe part. How do i plant seeds? I look everywhere. Where are the seeds? I grab the supposed seeds that keep coming onto the screen. They're pouches right? I try to plant them, i click them, i chuck them, nothings seems to be happening. I throw things down the conveyor belt. I eat all the tools. I constantly accidentally click off the screen causing a right click menu to appear. More frustration builds. How on earth did others plant these framed apples? There's got to be a way.
Eventually, after much time passing and lots of items and losses at 0 score, I finally figure out that the TINY little apple is actually some sort of infinite apple store!!! WOW! I had no idea. I thought that was what i was supposed to be getting and filling orders FOR. Once i accidentally picked up the apple box i found that it represented the seeds i was looking for. The game became maybe, just maybe i'll figure this out. let's try, yet again.
I hoed infinitely, planted the seeds, watered; man that well must have been insane to get water out of. I stood there forever gazing deeply at the Koi fishes and pennies down there as water slowly dripped into my thirsty bucket. The plants grew and i grabbed the harvest scythe eagerly and out popped actual apples for the first time. Ok. I have the apples. What do i do with them? I chucked them down the conveyor. Nothing changed. I chucked the frames down the pathway. The seed packets, nothing happened. I walked over to the frames and threw the apples at the frames. Why wont the frames take my apples. I threw the frames all over the farm in frustration. I took the pack of 3 apples i just harvested and gave them to the frame with a "1" on it and magically the apples disappeared from me holding them and a big "-2" appeared on the frame. EEUURREEKKAAA it's below zero I'M A GENIUS. I chucked the frame at the conveyor and finally i realized that the left click mechanic must be the gravity of all my problems this whole time and I grabbed the frame and left-clicked that thing and a wonderful little chime went off. My first order completed.!
Then the game was fun. I enjoyed the entire rest of the time. :D Great thing. Just understand that I had to get to that point. People playing my games will definitely feel this and this is something I will have to learn with time.

Ok, in all seriousness, there is a lot of work put into this, and it's quite _fun_ **once** you get into it.
My personal suggestions to make this fun more quickly:
1. You walk out of the garden by stepping onto the conveyer belt and never return. (possibly have to be carrying deliverable box, didn't check in detail)
2. You can (accidentally?) throw crop over the fence, to never recover them. You could set collision detection to `Continuous` for the crops and items as a quick work-around.
3. Use `Circle` or `Capsule` collider for the well (as well as the player), it was a bit frustrating getting stuck over empty space
4. Make the left farm slots restricted - you have to buy them from the shop, that way players will earlier realize, that rightmost lands are the best ones.
5. Move the seed spawners somewhere down. Because now you are not getting any visual feedback that you are carrying something, because the thing you are carrying is out of screen. If it was a bit more lower, the player could see right away, that something happened.
6. Spawn delivery crates in predefined spots and limit number of them. Because there were several times, when the left colliding box was preferred when delivering good to it, thus making my fail my order. (Or you should sort which colliding box to pick by left time, but it's would be better if you cannot try to deliver to two boxes at the same time). Instead of allowing one box to push other, as this might create a box at the moment I am delivering good, again misplacing them and failing orders. The same collision issue is existing when you are trying to pick up boxes.
7. Would be great if you pre-water tilled soil without planting seeds. Yes, would require additional checks and visuals. But it would let player feel smart, by letting prepare the plots in advance when there is nothing much going on.
8. Ability to purchase `Strike` negation would be cool. As some strikes are just accidental, so why not player extend the play by sacrificing their resources that were saved for an upgrade.
I ordered suggestions in somewhat easy to do -> hard to do order
Overall had quite some fun trying to make everything on time, slowly learning the bugs I have to work around :joy:
Oh I think nobody noted, but good job on the art. The crops and tools are clear and distinctive enough. With crops having several growth frames for each. Not to mention, you actually managed to fit at least some sounds for all tools as well as background music.
