Solid game. Good balance on difficulty, would consider something that spawns in the rotation that you want to dump/not use. Really nice art. Took me a bit to realized the carrot shrunk, but when I got it to explode it felt good. Good baseline for a game loop, would be cool to see this evolve. Good luck on the jam!

Really fun and relaxing entry! Simple gameplay but it works well, and the graphics are pretty juicy. It took me quite a while to realize the carrot was slowly going back to its original size, but when I did, I devised a new plan:

This would have been even better with some light relaxing music but of course, hard to fit that within the constraints of a jam.

This game feels great to play. Animation and sound is fantastic. Very responsive.

Like the poster above I realized it was better to save up carrots and harvest them all at once rather than try to go through the whole cycle. I found myself getting a lot of resources I couldn't use, like seeds with no hole, so I wonder if a recycle or trash feature would work well.

Nice game, pacing felt a bit slow in the end. I had 4/5 of my field full with big carrots but the sicles were rare so I had to wait somewhat long until I had a sicle roll.
Really nice and fluid animation, and graphics.

Really nice, chill concept. It feels like it needs just one more game element, maybe something to do with wasted
resources or something?

I really enjoyed this game once I got the hang of playing it. I really like this concept. It was a really new take on a farming game that was addicting.

Made an absolute unit. The animations make it so addicting. Adding more sound effects would make it even better. Great work!

The presentation is really nice and it has a solid foundation for a game.

I loved the animations and sound, it's such a satisfying game and I got hypnotized for a little while playing it. It does definitely slow down a little as you go... it can be a little frustrating to wait so long to wait for the tools you need

Pretty neat game! I like the simple, arcade-y mechanics. The bounciness of the visuals give the game a really fun energy. The time crunch helps give the game a sense of urgency, although I wound up just building a full field of carrots and harvesting them all at once in the end. The ending was also really well done. Overall, nice work!

Wow - what a game. The idea is pretty cool, the graphic looks awesome and the audio fit very well. Its really a polished game and I'd a lot of fun to play.

But I also started hating you because while it is really relaxing - it is also damn hard! A missclick and you fall back by a lot. So soon or late I learned that I really had to first grow a field of carrots before harvesting. Otherwise I'd say its not possible winning that game.

Welcome to my LD52-Collection on itch. I just can repeat myself: very polished game!

I feel dumb because I was waiting for the carrot to shrink all the way to see the lose game situation but now I see that it doesn't shrink past a certain point :face_palm: lol. I agree with the above that the game is very polished and relaxing. Well done!

Kudos on the game feel, it feels really juicy and polished! It's almost hypnotizing if you start to get into the flow of planting and harvesting the carrots! :D

Really fun! I should concentrate more but it was funny, the sound design is good, the art is simply awesome. :D

I felt like the frequency of the sickle was a bit off compared to how many times you actually needed it.

I went the more fast paced route and tried to keep up with the carrot compared to stockpiling a bunch at one time and I kept getting jebaited by rng lol.

Maybe some kind of % or bar indicator for the big carrot would be helpful, there were a few times I tried to sickle early thinking it was the last few I needed but it kept getting bigger.

Overall it was pretty fun, especially when you try the fast paced route.

Art and animations were polished nicely!

Great amounts of polish and really cute graphics - took me a while to understand that it wasn't turn based

Well done

That was relaxing and fun. I specially loved the art style and bouncy animations, everything was very cohesive and fit well together. I wouldn't change a thing except maybe for adding a relaxing song to come along with the experience.

Thanks for this awesome submission <3

This was very stressfull, but a lot of fun! A lot of times the god carrot was already shaking because of its size, only for me to make a mistake and it shrinking all the way back down again XD The shovels and sickles were somehow similar in my mind, so in stressfull situations (like when the carrot almost explodes) I always mixed them up. This was a lot of fun though, haha
The shrinking back of the carrot really gave me the feeling I had to make decisions quickly, which I think led to the stress. That was great though!
Really nice submission :D

Cute graphics, but I missed some sort of challenge or tradeoff with my choices, something that would force me to take a decision on how to use something and sacrificing something else instead for example. Some sort of way to increase the complexity space :)

Thank you for your game! The carrots growing and the god carrot (THE GOD CARROT) shaking was really neat -- I liked the graphic! This game was begging for some punchy music to go with the gameplay. OTOH, I found the randomness a bit frustrating... sometimes you would get looots of water or dirt at once... do you know the "bag" method that Tetris uses to select its pieces? I think that would be cool here to guarantee a balance of the different actions!

Anyway, the idea was really innovative, and I had fun playing it, so good job!

Really good game feel and attention to detail (like the mega carrot pushing the bucket) that give it a lot of personality.

The ending made me jump haha ^^ great game! had a lot of fun playing, would loved to have seen my score or some stats at the end, just so I could have bragged about it here :carrot: :smiling_imp: :carrot:

Really well done, amazing work ! Especially for a compo, it's really clean. I don't know how well the concept hold when you get good at the game, but at least on the first attempt it's really easy to understand and very fun. Graphics and feedback and incredibly good for 48h !
