I especially liked the ending ;)
The humor is just brilliant and it reminds me so much of Undertale! Keep it up!
think this game had a lot of style, made me and my friends laugh.
Edit: *With
Just as magic, you will notice that there never was any rebound after jumps and you were crazy all along. There are no traces of such a bug ever occurring... not even in the changelogs or older versions... It was all in inside your head my friend :)
@silicondioxide Okay! thanks for letting me know! Will look into it but haven’t been able to repro it.
Woud have liked to put all my points into humor at first but i understand that you can't make all the combinations.
THere were some glitches and little bugs but nothing gamebraking. Really good entry.
However it felt like some stuff doesn't change that much to be that long, so it gets a bit repetitive. Also I'm not sure why the camera is so far to the left, causing you to see only a bit of what's to the right of a player.
@limered Thank you so much! Hey!! This person wants to hoard all the funny to themself!! (yeah it's a bit buggy as this is my first game)
@theheheo Thanks!!! Yeah... if only the game could ACTUALLY get better, that would be great!!
@house-trap-charlie Thank you so much!! This gives me a smile on my face :) Great to hear that you like the audio! I'm a musician primarily and was fearing nobody would pay any attention to it over everything else happening in the game! Yeah it's pretty funny when you know :) Seems to have worked!
@tobiasd Yeah it's a bit loose.. did you happen to fill all the stars :)
I enjoyed it a lot! :)
I first thought this would be a lazy submission. But I got suprised. I liked how you included the theme in multiple ways and still kept your very original idea.
This is a very good example that you don't need fancy graphics to build a good game.
Keep up the good work :)
@strega Thanks! Yes! Always remember to cool off your jam before eating!
@tsfreddie "Thanks"
@simono Thank you so much! So you mean I can not just put a 10 second counter and call it quits??
@langotriel Thanks so much!! Yes! If you look really close you will notice that on top of being a game, there's also many bugs from all the spaghetti I made :)
@maksim-chugunov Thanks! Watching you play made me do the haha :)
@noef Thank you for playing! Yeah me neither!
@ethereal :)
@trigrab Thank you so much for your kind words! So you are saying my 5 star graphics might not actually be five star graphics? I'm in shock! ;)
Keep on doing !
One thing though, i feel like i sometimes got stuck on the tiles, but i could be mistaken. If i'm not mistaking and you are using Unity, then you might want to try to put a "Composite Collider 2D" on the Tilemap and set the "Used by Composite" in the "Tilemap Collider 2D" to true. Had a similar problem in my project and this helped. If you didn't use Unity then just ignore this part o the comment.
Anyway, nice game, especially for theamount of time you had.
:)
GJ! :)
I wish the gameplay was more complex to fit the greatness of the concept.
@loveapplegames Hmmm... So far I have tried to play web version with several macs and windows computers with chrome and all where fine... might be linux thing? Dunno? Sorry still!
@jonnylynx Thanks!
@cslupius Thank you for playing :) Yeah I was bit worried when introducing the not goombas later that how players would react to it! Hopefully it was not too confusing for too long :)
@bluesand Thank you so much! Lovely to hear... no wait..
@fgamer99 Thank you so much for you kind words! Yeah I have got this a few times but actually this was made with gamemaker studio 2! And I think the issue is caused that I had to upgrade the IDE mid jam because there was crucial bug with web exports and in the newer gamemaker updates they sort of changed how collisions worked and it kinda messed everything up! I should go back and try to make the windows export with the older working version! Anyway thank you for your help! :)
@bender-biber Thank you :) Great to hear!
@joror Thank you for your kind words :)
@gonzalol Thank you! Yes I agree! At the start I had ton of cool and more fun ideas what could happen but did not have the time or the skill to make them happen, as I'm just a musician barely trying to code and draw!
(there were a photo)
I already rated and commented on your game :) It was really good and enjoyed it a lot! Really clever mechanic!
I would appreciate if you could now delete that photo as it kinda spoils the meaning of the ending :)
Thank you!
got it, I already deleted it.
and thank you for this amazing game!
@turquoise-moon Thank you so much for you kind words :)
(tip for unity platformer: if your character stuck on walls when in air and pressing the movement button on the side of the wall, apply a smooth physics material on either the wall or the player collider)
Also :)
Thank you for the advice but sadly this is made with gamemaker :D Quite a few people have given me some unity tips about this :D
@lepoulet Thank you! Haven't played that game but will have to check!
