Time Loop Traffic

crash01_itch.gif

Time Loop Madness

You have 10 seconds to drive every hover car in the city to its destination—at the same time.
Drive fast and dodge your past!

How to Play

The controls are straight-forward: push in the direction you want to go.

  • Gamepad: Left Stick
  • Keyboard: WASD or Arrow Keys

Follow your little navigation arrow to the marked destination. Then do it again and again, avoiding the traffic chaos your past selves will create.

Cool idea and implementation of the game! Graphics, sound - perfectly add to the atmosphere, and the mechanics of inertia forces you to choose between speed and caution. A wonderful game! It's Cool!

This is legit fun. It didn't click at first what was happening but it gets really cool trying to dodge your past ghosts and the controls are so tight too. I'd love if this was fleshed out.

Nice job on this game! The controls feel really nice. Sound and music goes really well with the atmosphere. And I think you did a pretty nice job for the paths repartitions and the game difficulty is well balanced.

Smooth and flawless! The game played with a controller is really fun. And the difficulty is perfect: I had to try again, but I really wanted to manage to see the end.

Good job! I see myself playing more of this game if it had different levels with different hazards.

I don't know what to tell you. This is just great in every regard. My only wish is that there would be more levels. Really well done.

Oh, I like this game! It looks stylish and sounds wonderful! It's getting more and more difficult with every time, and I'm getting angry with myself that I can't drive properly ^_^

This was an absolute blast- learning to avoid major car buildups (that I caused) was so freakin fun. What an impressive concept, loved every second. The audio and overall polish is great too.

I did it!

Well done, one of my first ideas was like yours but with a pizza delivery, i discarded it because i think this will be impossible and chaotic, but i was wrong, i like your implementation.

Good music, sadly i love the music near to lose and i can not heard it constantly :(

Funny, good control... well done!

What a great game! I have a soft spot for time loops so this was right up my alley. It was a great idea to start each instance at the destination of the previous. That solves the crowd clumping problem at the start of the loop. It was also a good choice to not be able to affect the other cars (even tho the chaos that creates can be fun), that makes it easier to plan and reason about what paths to take. Found some narrow paths between the building that were great to avoid traffic, I think even more of those would make it more interesting. It was a bit sad it only lasted for 16 cars, I had too much fun! Maybe once you hit 16 you can offset the time by 1 sec so you start behind a precious car, and that was can keep playing for much longer?
Either way, great submission!

This game was really fun! I feel like playing with controller would be much better than using keyboard. Really cool!

Its actually insane how perfectly you acomplished the theme of every 10 seconds, super well executed. 5/5. Also the background on the itch IO page was like that time mr krabs had swirly vision.

I absolutely loved this game! It was so short and sweet. The polish on this is just amazing. It doesnt feel like a game jam because its just so perfect in every way! The player controller was so tight, the game felt so juicy!! The AI was so well programmed, and the models looked so good! Job well done with this one... One of my top games Ive played so far

More than once I had less than one second on the clock and was screaming at my monitor. Best entry I've played so for. Great job you guys!

Crisp, well presented, innovative. I love it, especially when instead of crashing into my past, I accidentally use it to speedboost.

I will say the music slider doesn't work...

Fantastic, I love it! Really simple and fun. I like the movement of the cars, the level is really well-made, the graphics are great (I love purple hehe) and the audio is on point. I imagine this can be a really fun multiplayer game. Good job!

I don't even have words, this game is as good as it gets. It'd really be a shame if it doesn't win it all. You really should turn it into a full game with multiple levels, game modes, multiplayer, etc.

Really good implementation of the time loop concept. And balanced enough to keep my trying until I won (which wasn't _too_ hard...)

This was quick fun that got crowded fast.

Loved it! Nice graphics but for some reason performance was terrible before I set post processing off and I have a decent computer and GTX1080.

I liked the music and the hovercar sounds were satisfying.

Solid game, I didn't find any bugs. Good job :)

This game is both well executed, original and addictive. Also very well polished. Should you add on this, I would like to see pedestrians, although that might be a bloodbath of olympic dimensions.

Audio and visuals are very well rounded. Runs smoothly in safari.

Great concept, design, graphics, and polish. The retrowave vibe is super cool too! If you were to expand on this further and add larger levels with destinations that were further away, a collectible that adds more time to the clock or increases movement speed might allow for that type of level design. Excellent entry!

Lovely! :) A very well-rounded game; we enjoyed the futuristic, glowing graphics, the dynamic sound effects, and the difficulty felt fair and satisfying. Short and sweet! We were really surprised by how smooth the time loop's transitions felt. It doesn't have a lot of replay value, for a full game, we'd love to see different landscapes, or even more interacting gameplay elements.

This was a super fun game! It's all the chaos I love of a round of Snakeybus, distilled into a much shorter timeframe, excellent work!
