Hally Ember by Sanjo

[raw]
made by Sanjo for Ludum Dare 51 (JAM)

Me and my team made a chill platformer, based on the 10 second rule. Every 10 seconds the gravity shifts 90 degrees, and to make it fair for the player we added a visual timer and an audible timer integrated in the song! I hope you enjoy the game as much as we enjoyed making it!!

BUGS: We have been notified that our visual timer gets out of sync after some time playing, and we are deeply sorry for that!

WOW - it is so interesting idea using gravity as a gameplay mechanic!

Pretty cool game! I really liked the style and the idea to rotate gravity by 90 degrees. The movement felt pretty nice as well.

Bug Report: After playing for a bit the UI timer and the actual gravity change seemed to be out of sync.

I'm often really easily frustrated with rage platformers. And, even though I don't have the patience to finish this, I really enjoyed it, and the music kept me calm!

After first 10 seconds i was like "WAAAAAAT". Interesting concept, given more time it might become really good game.

I like how the music feels like it's timed with the gravity switch sound effect!
Main issue is that the UI timer was slower than the gravity change.
I definitely would have played a few more levels :)

The concept works well and fits well with the theme. I do like it when the music is in sync with the game :). I didn't see any bugs other than the timing being slightly off as other people have mentioned (though it was off from the beginning for me and stayed at a constant offset throughout the game, which wasn't so bad).
The first level seemed harder to me than the second, but perhaps that's because I was still getting used to it.
I'd like to see the game extended with some more mechanics.
