Captain! Your main mission is to restore the station.

Gameplay

We have a deal

With the right mouse button, you can send ships to the docks to unload goods. The goods will be exchanged 1-to-1 for money. If you do not have enough money - a decrease in reputation with this faction.

Each faction is responsible for its own type of goods.

Go to exit, dude

You can also right-click to send ships back to the portal. This also lowers your reputation, but may save other faction's ships from being destroyed.

Reborn

Resources need to be spent on restoring the station. You have 8 blocks that need to be restored: - 6 docks (2 are already working). Docks vary in size. Larger ones are capable of taking on larger ships and also serve smaller ships faster. - Radio tower - 2 guns. Cannons are needed to protect against asteroids. - The main block of the station. The most expensive repair

Shit's happend

Sometimes ships with events appear from portals. Each event requires resources, but it greatly increases reputation for completion.

I enjoy this game, but i already wait more than 3 minutes for needing fraction (64 reputation on this frac). This game can excite when you know the rules (game really need in tutorial in few moments). But anyway you're well done guys!

Beautiful graphics and great mood. I felt the gameplay was a bit hard to understand at first, but otherwise I liked it and found it innovative too.

That was neat! I didn't end up finishing it, but I'd say I experienced most of what it had to offer! I think it's a little too long for a LD entry, but maybe that's just me not being a huge fan of the genre! (Great job, keep it up!)

I really liked it! The art was great and it had some curve balls like the aggressive frog faction.

I think it would be better with more feedback when you don't have the resources to trade with people/repair ships as I didn't understand why I was losing rep for a while. It would also be nice to influence who comes to your station, I was waiting on weapons way longer than anything else.

It had a very positive mood in working together to build a station, and I always got a chuckle out of seeing the "I'm craaaaaazy" guy. Great job! 🙂

I enjoyed the game, but maybe give it a little tutorial because I didn't really understand why I needed reputation and that you lost money per ship other than that great concept

I'm seriously impressed with what you guys were able to pack into a game jam! I really enjoyed playing this - it was a bit tricky initially figuring out what I needed to do, but once I grasped that I was hooked! Beautiful art and satisfying gameplay, well done!

Solid entry! Really good pixel art and sfx. Huge ammount of work been done. But here is some problems I noticed:

1. I think that reputation idea is nice, but it's not quiet working for now? It was hard to me to understand that only red ships attack everyone. But it's nothing i can do about it, just trade with them. And it creates a lot of red resources in your storage but you can't do almost nothing with it (only cure craziness, but it happends rarely).

2. Econmics of the game not seems to work well for me. Espetially violet resource - you can do almost nothing with it.

3. I've didn't get small violet ships at all on the endgame. And I get only one blue and red ships during the game. But it was a whole screen of violet ones instead. You have preseted encounters, you don't randomise them?

4. Turrets also seems to be broken :)

But, effort you put in this game is great, I see how hard it was to make it work. It was fun to play, not looking on problems. It's just a question of pollishing I think.
In my opinion, it can be good basis for some bigger game.

**Thanks for feedbacks!**
Glad to read that you enjoyed the game despite the problems!

Yes, there are still a lot of problem areas in the game.
For two people, we set a very ambitious goal.
There is no balance in the game, there was not enough time. The game has a lot of random events, the generation of a new wave is completely random.

There are many moments in the game that are not clear due to the lack of a detailed tutorial and instructions.

We planned to put more ideas into the reputation.
Reputation decreases if:
- a ship exploded in the system,
- not enough credits to pay for the resource,
- the ship with the event did not receive help and flew away,
- if you manually sent the ship to the portal.

Reputation increases when:
- made a successful deal with resources
- helped the ship with the event

Reputation determines the amount of money that comes every 10 seconds from the international government. Also, if the reputation with all factions falls below 0 - this is game over.

I made the turrets on the last day and they should only shoot down asteroids.

@ben-yazi Thanks for the explanation of reputation, that makes sense now 😅

Turrets are working, I checked it now, just on really small distance. Asteroids more often just hit some ship before turrets shot them.

@amolker I did not have time to implement the feature, but the asteroids were supposed to damage the base when they hit (and would have to be repaired again).

The main purpose of the turrets is to protect the base. The protection of the ships is secondary 😅

Love the vibe of this game! I played for about 15 min, and built all the docks. I couldnt figure out how to make money, so I had to stop after that. I dig all the different alien races; it made me think of Star Control. If this was a full game, I'd buy it. I hope you guys keep developing it in the future! :)

Loved this art style so much! The little characters were adorable, and so fetching. Sometimes it was hard to tell from 'actual' UI vs cool sci-fi styling - but I really appreciate the aesthetic.
Really ambitious and intriguing gameplay - as others have said, with some more work on balance and additional agency for the player, this could be a really addicting, top-tier space-ship management game! Super cool entry!

The graphics reminded me of the PC games of the DOS days.
It took me quite some time to understand why I keep losing money. It seems necessary to explain it in the game.

It seems that the game has not yet been balanced, but it is a game that has a lot of potential for development in many ways.

Rather than a game jam, I got the impression that it was a game that was developed with the goal of making a commercial game.

In general quite a nice concept. I played the whole game but it gets quite boring in the end cause the only thing i had to do was send a way many ships. But I guess this just comes from unimplemented mechanis nice work

Great game! Took me a little while to understand what to do but perhaps I should have read the instructions first.. Fantastic pixel art, setting, gameplay. Just needed a little more done for the audio. But very enjoyable!

Pretty fun little game, even if those pirates can go kiss my butt. Graphics are appealing, and it's a fun little loop of taking in different ships to get what resources you need.

Grrr, I'm spending way too much time on this game! Well done!

Besides graphics, audio etc. I'm really impressed with the space station feel (makes me think of DS-9 and related shows) of the game.

Really impressive entry, and definitely feels like it has a ton of potential for further development. I encountered some issues but it sounds like they are mostly things your team has already identified (i.e. balance and clearly ui/indicators to let you know which resources are missing or needed)

I'm impressed by how much stuff there was to manage. The game dragged on a bit, but I enjoyed it still. A little funny that the shooting was basically the only sound, but at least it drew the attention.

Loved the artwork and graphics! Felt a bit slow to get to the ending, I'd upgraded everything but the main block and had to wait a while for the last two resource types I needed.

As others have mentioned, I think a bit more range (or wider targeting arc?) for the gun turrets would help as it felt like I couldn't stop some of the asteroids hitting the ships. But I understand that the guns were added late.

Nice vibes and loved the little portraits of the different characters, great work!

I struggled to understand where to send the ships at first, so perhaps a more evocative or simple dock would have helped. Eventually I saw where to send them and things got better. I like the idea of running a space station, especially with the complexity of trying to balance/appease various alien factions. Ambitious game, but I think I needed a bit more hand-holding to really appreciate the strategy. Overall though, I had fun playing!

Fantastic high-detail pixel art! Also loved the little animations you put in. The game was intriguing and the balancing act of saving ships VS getting resources was interesting to tackle. Great entry!

The graphics are stunning, and I could see the gameplay loop working well when you understand all the different variables, but in the beginning it was kind of confusing how to build up your resources without losing them, and it was hard to follow where they went, why they were used up, so I didn't really accomplish any goal. With a proper tutorial I'm sure it would make it easier to get into! Either way, great job!
