Stop the Eye by squashi
You play as a sorcerer who has to stop the ferocious eye-beast before it's too late!
Controls - F -> Toggle fullscreen - WASD or Arrow keys -> Movement - E -> Attack - Enter or Space or E -> Ui accept - W-S -> Ui next
How to play - You can attack by pressing E - Check out your Health on top-right corner. You are Blue and monster is Purple. Whoever surpasses the other one wins - Every 10 seconds - 2 bullets will be added to your ammo. You can see the amount of bullets you have at the bottom - 3 pillars will emerge, existing ones will disappear - Monster will send projectiles at you. Tip: destroy Red pillar - Each pillar has a different effect upon it's destruction based on it's color - Yellow pillar: gives you movement speed for 10 seconds - Blue pillar: adds 3 bullets to your ammo - Red pillar: small aoe explosion, destroys enemy projectiles - Purple pillar: sends powerful magic attack towards the enemy, dealing big damage. also destroys half the enemy projectiles - You can destroy pillars by hitting it 2-3 times - You have a limited amount of bullets so use it carefully! Tip: destroy Blue pillar - Your projectiles will move towards the monster so position yourself accordingly
Gameplay video: https://youtu.be/lgZpDvlkDQI
Known issues / missing features - No sound, can't tell the 10 seconds interval - You can go and stay inside the monster, finishing the game effortlessly (please don't do it lol) - You can get stuck in pillar - First 5 seconds laggy/freezing due to shader compilation

Tools used - Godot game engine - Krita for 2d art
Theme?? - Every 10 seconds the enemy does an attack and sends projectiles, also 3 random colored pillars spawn. Due to lack of any sound effects or any visual clue about the timer the games relevance to the theme is very easy to miss.

however, once i figured out what to do, the game was incredibly easy. the boss went down in 30 seconds, which was no time at all. would've like if it had more attacks (maybe some that could be dodged) too.
i'm glad you liked the visuals, 2d art is really not my strong suit.
i tried to keep the game simple with just WASD and E input so there wouldnt be any need for a tutorial, you would just hit the enemy once, move around and learn how to play the game by yourself but i should've definetly added a tutorial.
also the game balance/difficulty is not great because pillar spawn type is rng and i didn't have time to tune all the rng stuff.
i will add some explanation in the description soon so that others don't get confused as well. also gonna make a small psot jam version to fix minor issues but idk how post jam versions and rating works.

Good effort!
i know there are no instructions or tutorials, i can't change the game now, but im writing a **how to play** section now and will upload and link a tiny gameplay video to youtube, hopefully that will help.
also thanks everyone who played it gave feedback!
Trying to combo different pillars and running away from the rockets while getting all the buffs and unleashing all that power next round feels very good, it's a very promising game loop that could easily be expanded further.
kinda unrelated but I don't like the idea of attacking an enemy while they are sleeping >:[
Good game overall, my best time was 62 seconds
Good work!
The graphics are simple but effective
