This game is so cool! I love how you were able to create such variety by mixing up the enemy types and level win objectives. Good job!

@ruruie @mrs-wheelsx Thank you both! The squeaks are just me making a high-pitched noise into my phone and pitching them up slightly lol

@slimefriend @phantom49 @joe-bevis @escarpoulpe Thank you all so much!! I'm glad you enjoyed it

Nice job! I can't put into words how perfect the sound of the cat taking damage was. I liked the way that the levels got harder and harder, as well as the variety in what's needed to be done to complete them - I died quite a lot on the last few levels but always wanted to try again!

The variety of different door conditions is nice, it made me mix up my gameplay a fair bit. Everything seemed fair and functional, and the level layouts provided a lot of opportunities to combo a bunch of enemies, which was satisfying.

This game would have been so much better if this Jam's theme was "every 3 seconds"...

Solid gameplay, even if 10 seconds of waiting is *way too long*
It's a little easy to get all the enemies by just following one big killing blast through the level.
I did enjoy playing it though and made it all the way to the end.
*Conglaturation* to you, too!

A cute little game (I'm definitely not biased in any way). I like the diversity of all the different challenges in each level, feels like an actual proper world of a whole video game in that sense. The main mechanic is neat and allows for some fun risk/reward play. Overall it's very nice!

I'm happy to see all the different types of levels you've fit in here! Definitely helps elevate the mechanic to cause you to constantly switch between play styles.

Some thoughts if you expand this out into a full release:
* This is one of the few games where 10 seconds feels insufferably long instead of way too short. That's partly a good thing as I'm doing my best to survive in that time but also very disempowering and can be very frustrating at times. Giving more time drops or other things players can do to add to the risk/reward gameplay while allowing them to speed things up a bit can be a good way of rewarding skilled players and letting them pick up the pace a bit. Parts like the vertical platforming level felt this the hardest where I just start the level waiting to charge up and I'm not immediately getting into the action.
* Those eyes made me very mad lol. That's just a personal note it was always cathartic to kill them but maybe they're a bit too smart? Idk might be my own bias.

Overall the music and sounds are nicely done and you have a lot of ideas here to make for a full game already that can just be expanded on! Nice work

This is a solid game with a variety of levels and enemies. Also the theme is integrated well into the gameplay. The difficulty is pretty easy. I managed to end most levels by simply dodging some enemies or even running straight through them.
The jumping curve is a litte weired, more like a triangle than a curve. And also I would have liked another tutorial text describing how to enter the next levels. I found out by accident.
Non the less a very good result for one developer. (:

@deprecat thank you for the feedback! I fully agree with both points and I would probably change how the eye enemies move altogether if I had more time. (They actually used to be way more irritating, but as a compromise 30 minutes before submitting, I lowered the gravity and made it so they can only change direction if you're on the ground.) Maybe I'll revisit this in the future and make it a 3 second timer instead.

@blacklambert Youre totally right about the tutorial text, I meant to add a graphic showing you how you enter doors but I completely forgot/ran out of time. Thank you for the feedback and for playing through the whole thing!

I like it, although I think the game is a tad too easy, in my opinion.

Really charming game. The platforming felt a bit heavy, but the combat was neat and the theme fitted well with a good mix of survival rooms and a bit of planning to your shots!

Nice game! Shame you couldn't take credit for the music as a rather enjoyed it, it went really well with the game. The graphics were great too, I like the way you had the flames indicating that the kill shot was ready. The concept was neat too, and the idea of needing to dodge enemies and stun enemies to survive made waiting for the kill shot to load not so bad, plus the additional idea that the stun shots make it take slightly longer to load made things more interesting. Overall, very nice game. Well done!
