The player controller felt tight and I loved the smooth camera movement. The music and art really made a spacey mood. The game itself is a bit too hard for me, I can't make it past wave 10, but I think that's just my bad skills. A quick note: when I first booted up the game I thought the movement felt super weird and it was because I thought the background space image was actually where i was supposed to be flying through, and it took me a minute to understand that it was a parallax background. I would've liked everything to be a bit bigger, but that may just be personal preference. I think the character portaits looked good and liked the animations. My only critique of the visuals was the \"shift\" the camera did when you got close to the edge. It felt really weird, like the ship stopped moving correctly when it happened, and it only gave a small bit of extra area before you hit the true border so I would suggest removing it. If you want to keep the \"soft-boundary\" I would suggest slowly moving the camera to follow the ship at all times instead, that way it will be less jarring.\n\nI think the gameplay was straightforward and fun, would've liked to see some ship variety or attack variety though. Even just some different colors of ships \/ lasers would add a lot. I did feel like the AI was a little to good after they killed me 4 times in a row right when I started the game, but that was also a fun challenge to try to figure out.\n\nI didn't feel like the theme got a whole lot of love beyound the justification of the waves, maybe having attacks happen every 10 seconds, or getting a speed boost every 10 seconds would lean into the theme a bit more.","format":"md","likes":1,"spam":"N"},{"id":870909,"author_name":"Adam Martin","author_uid":"adam-martin","epoch":1665030664,"text":"Good job!
