Once I figured out how it worked, it was super fun

I like the idea of mashing up a tower defense game and an "endless jumper" (you remember Doodle Jump??). The character controls were very "slidey", by that I mean I would try increasing the friction on the character so they slow downed faster. Also thank you for letting me jump on enemys heads in adittion to using the towers :)

Reminds me of the old Atari Space invaders type games, but you can move and you cant let the enemies lose.

@alec Thanks for playing! Doodle Jump absolutely came to my mind while making this! I loved that game. Thanks for the feedback on the controls being slidey, we'll definitely polish that.

Really interesting take! Once you get the hang of the game, it becomes super fun! I'm not so good at this kind of game, but I got stuck here playing for about 10 minutes, great job! I feel like the tower sometimes doesnt track the spider very well, maybe its the angle shot? I dont know, but besides that, solid game! Cute design and very fitting music

Interesting idea. It wasn't clear what I had to do at first, and the platforming feels a bit slidey, but it was fun once I figured it out.

Pretty cool idea having to activate the towers. I climbed up the tower to active more, but it probably would've been better to drop down alongside the spiders if you miss one. I ended up with 20 score. The art was nice, but maybe the camera could be zoomed in a bit, to help with all the space on the side of the screen. Nice game!

Cool idea, but had some issues. Since spiders can spawn anywhere along the tower, you never really were able to climb, I always stayed near the bottom few towers. Sometimes a spider would jump directly from the wall onto the orb and deal damage. Also, the towers shot randomly instead of on a timer, so sometimes the towers would just let a spider through for no reason.

There was also a glitch where on a restart, the towers lose the ability to shoot.

I really liked the music and art, and the gameplay concept was good too. Just needed a bit of playtesting I think (hard to have time to playtest in a Ludum Dare!).

Nice way to create tension in a game, pulling the player between wanting to climb but having to make sure if something gets past to go back and deal with it before it can hit the gem. Controls were maybe a little more slippery than I'd prefer for the precision expected in jumping but it was fun regardless. Great work!

10 Seconds felt a bit short for the fire rate of the towers. I would have liked a faster fire rate and an easier to climb tower, but its highscore so difficulty is kinda part of it. Interesting idea. Nice work.

Very difficult, but made me want to reach the top so it made me replay many times and was fun.

I liked! It's definitely tower defense!

It's a good idea. Develop for something bigger.

Congratulations!

The general aesthetic is great, although minimalist, it works great. I really enjoyed having to discover by myself the gameplay of the towers and the fact that I can also attack the spiders.
In fact everything is cool, except the level design which conflicts with the jumping system and the overall difficulty progression. The placement of the towers and the way of attacking the enemies is a problem. A level design touch up and quite honestly this game could go very far, especially if it is on google store or app store.

Nice idea!
Merging platformer with tower defense is a great inspiration!
When I understood that I can also kill spider by jumping on them, I got some Downwell vibes and the game get even more fun!

Congrats!

Really interesting concept and solid execution. Trying to keep some towers running while gems proved to be quite difficult though.
