The World Ends Ten Times by SomeCodingGuy

You've got 10 seconds to master (platformer) skillz for the generation! Grab the highest score and tell us about it!

Arrows for movement (Left Right Up), forget about the item collection, ended up bugged out for carrying to future generations, just run for the spinner before all the blocks explode.

My first ldjam entry, time budgeting is a challenge!

I got a 3374. Some of the later times seemed impossible. Good work.

Hello. Congratulations on your first jam. Nice try. In my opinion, the jumps are too strong and it is difficult to understand where you will arrive. I would also add musical accompaniment.

Thanks for making this. Satisfying jumps, nice platforming. Super fun. The spring animations and jumps are nice and satisfying too. They have a good springy feel to them

Good job on what I believe (correct me if wrong) your first entry! I managed to score 3500+ on my 3rd run and that's where I'll leave it haha.

PROS:

- Responsive controls
- Smooth gameplay
- Clear UI (albeit not necessarily fitting, I did find the placement/usage of it very nice!)
- I liked the take on the theme, 10 seconds, but also 10 lives, nice!

Potential points of improvement:

- Sometimes the spring shot me up really far and I couldn't see where I'd end up haha
- Perhaps a quick reset button that allows me to restart the game from gen 1 right away.

This is a nice little platformer. I didn't fully understand what was happening between generations, but I managed to get to the end a few times and got a score over 3000. Not being able to see the ground when you bounce high into the air was a bit frustrating and made it very luck-based. The controls were pretty good though; it just needs a bit of coyote time to improve the feel. The graphics mix a few different styles, but I like the robot and the level tiles, especially the springboard animation. Nice work!

Congrats on your first entry! I thought the mechanic was cool that the more you die the harder it gets! But it got too hard and I got bored

Great job on your first entry! The first time I did LD I didn't make the deadline (as many don't), so that in of itself is a huge achievement for you!
I like your idea, it's fun to have the level change over time. If I could give you a couple pieces of feedback:
- When you're high in the air, it would be nice to zoom out more so I can know where is safe to land.
- The springs were sometimes hard to trigger

You did great though! Submitting the first time is tough, but you nailed it. I hope you participate more in the future. Well done, and thanks for the game!

Well done completing an entry! I wasn't entirely sure what was going on in a lot of spots, but it's a good little platformer! Thanks for sharing

This game feels a bit unfinished. The visuals okay, but some simple animations could have made the game look so much better. The game could also have used some music and/or some sound effects. The controls works pretty good, but it could have used a bit of fine tunning. But overall is this an okay first jam game.

I liked the speed at which it plays and the disappearing blocks adds a nice change in difficulty. Impressive for a first game jam!
