And let's face it that little robot is so cute!
Some games started easy, some were downright impossible - which I guess makes it more addictive.
Well done!
@mbrezu It does start easy - no critters! :D Then they start coming once you gather diamonds ;)
But yes, the idea was jumping right into the game, die, rinse, repeat. Thanks for playing!
Some sort of upgrade system would be cool, but otherwise very solid game.
Here's my best score across numerous tries:

great job!
I may need to replay the game to see if I've missed HP display somewhere.
@exilegl I also thought that some progression would have been nice (+some other mechanics like new creatures, weight slowing you down, jumping on enemies...). Maybe in a future version.
Nice and simple, balanced well enough that it's probably possible to play forever :) I guess it would be interesting if there were further additions to the gameplay after a point.
(First game that makes me really interested in pico-8 😄)
I use Unity in my daily job, but I love pico8 for gamejams. Maybe at some point I'll use Godot, who knows, but I feel right at home with pico8 for small, arcade games. And those are great for 48h game jams :D
Great job!
On my first attempt I died almost immediately but then I saw that the text mentioned a jetpack so I tried some buttons and found that I did indeed have a jetpack, which helps a lot.
After I also realized that I can scare the cats with small jetpack hops, I was able to survive relatively easily. I got to 1000 points and think I could go on forever if needed.
Carrying a stack of 20 diamonds looked kind of funny but it was very satisfying when an opportunity presents itself to cache them all in.
Thanks for playing!
Overall I really liked it, great job!
I don't like that you can walk outside of the visible map area ;(
This is a very interesting game, but after a while, it gets a bit boring, you only have one type of monster in this game.
I might take this idea and expand it a little bit some day. A local multilayer game with thos base could be fun!
