Very nice game. Graphics, sound, everything was there and made the game feel very complete. I think the difficulty curve is a bit steep for a highscore-game, but I gave my best.

Maybe get rid of the Quit Button in the HTML-Export, it makes the game freeze :)

Really nice game! Art and sounds were great. Gameplay felt perfect too. It scaled up in difficulty at just the right way.

One thing was that sometimes it felt a bit hard to click the food items, perhaps making the items bigger or making the clickable area bigger would have made it feel just a bit better.

Great overall!

Love the artstyle, everything feels so polished (The menu animations are next level). Gameplay is also fun, but a little frustrating since some things are hard to pick up thanks to their size, and the monster hitbox is also a bit unclear as I was able to drop food from time to time.

Still, great game. Would recommend uploading the webgl version to Ludum Dare as well (it can now show embedded games), so it's easier to play the game.

Got first place on the leaderboard at the time of writing this comment

Overall: Wonderful entry that I enjoyed playing up to about level 10 where hitboxes seemed to be to small to grab reliably.

Fun: Took some hits as I felt I was losing to hit boxes not registering my clicks versus my ability to identify part quickly. Made me a bit frustrated. Otherwise very fun!

Innovation: Fun idea executed pretty well.

Theme: Must feed every 10 seconds :ballot_box_with_check:

Graphics: Top tier! Very polished!

Audio: The sounds effects were sufficiently gross and spooky haha. Well done!

Humor: I think the idea of this game was very fun and really leaned into scary season.

Mood: Spooky Scary Beelzebub sends shivers down your spine.

Great use of the theme and a nice atmosphere. Some of the hit boxes could probably be more forgiving, as it was perhaps too hard to pick up the smaller items and I lost a couple times because I dropped food on the monster's head rather than their mouth.

I love this game! The scoreboard makes me want to play this game all day. The mechanism is fun, and the art style is so cute. Moreover, the tutorial make the goal more clear, as a player, I know what am I doing in this game. Nice tutorial. Overall, in my opinion, this game is in the best level.

Thank you all for the nice comments and reviews, it really helps us for the next jam 😊

@chris-plummer yes we are, I developed a quick leaderboard solution in .net core for the previous jams already and we use this usually with some tweaks here and there from jam to jam.

Best UI I ever seen so far! The art style is great. Overall a solid game.
Sometimes I had issues with grabbing smaller items. Maybe adding some highlight when you hover over an item (bodypart :smiling_imp: ) would improve the experience a bit.

Really polished game! Simple concept but executed so well it was really enjoyable. Special props to the sound design. My only slight complaint would be some objects were difficult to grab, but apart from that I think this is a fantastic submission. Awesome job!

Great game! Quite gruesome :D Very effective art and overall visual style. Gameplay is simple but quite fun. I think the art and setting is what makes the game unique and engaging, as gameplay is quite generic otherwise. Music is great and fits really well. Overall excellent mood and very good amount of polish! Great result for a jam game!

@cocapasteque That's awesome! We started using a .NET API with MongoDB to handle storing player preferences and other data, like high score, during the last LD.

Those were the most genuinely awful sound effects I've ever heard in a game. 5/5 for Audio.

That aside, the graphics and animations were very polished! The limbs were pretty annoying to grab at the end when the conveyor belt was speeding along, but I assume that was the point.

@chris-plummer Nice! I am using a mysql8 database hosted on my personal Kubernetes infrastructure, and EntityFramework to handle database migrations and operations. You can check the code for the leaderboard here if you want: https://github.com/cocapasteque/simple-board
It is really dead simple but so effective and easy to deploy with the help of Github Actions and Docker :)

After several attempts, I could only get to 11. Such fun in this game. Definitely a game I will come back to and try to get to the top of the leaderboard. The brain and heart were sometimes hard to catch but I recon that is down to my player skills :D. Great entry - fun fun fun.

Awesome Game. Enjoyed the overall concept and gameplay. really enjoyed the 10 seconds factor you imlemented in the game. A little more work from the SFX sides would have done wonder. But still a great job keep it up. Please do check out my submission as well.

Nice game, it's easy to understand and fun. Great to have added a leaderboard. I love the monster/halloween theme, the art is very well done. A small detail, if I were you I would change the message "1X eye" to "1 eye" to be clearer, or "x1 eye" if you want to keep the x.

A beautiful simple game. I appreciated that the instructions for what the monster wanted to eat were clear and I didn't have to figure out what to feed it.... The individual "foods" were different enough so that I wouldn't confuse them.

I also appreciated the fact that I didn't have to click directly even on smaller parts like the brain, when I clicked a little bit next to it, the game forgave me and I picked up the food, which is a great thing.

I appreciated that the parts I needed to find always seemed to be on the belt - I could see how this type of game could have easily not accounted for that which would have made for a frustrating experience. The UI was nice and large and clear - my only criticism would be to have some different colors for limbs because the arm and leg started looking very similar when there were more items required to feed the monster. Fun game!

What a cute art style. I made it to level 12, and am ranked #22. Cool to have a leaderboard :) I felt that at this level I was barely able to click to drag fast enough from the belt. The music was cool and creepy, the monster was scary, yet cute, the body parts were clearly labeled, yet interesting. You really nailed the art style! Thank you for the game.

The art and sound is great throughout, everything is very clear and never had any questions about what I'm supposed to do or how the game works.

Obviously it makes sense that the difficulty has to increase as the rounds go on further, but I do wish the difficulty came from something other than precision mouse movement over small objects at high speed. That's just me personally, I'm sure others loved it. Regardless, I think your difficulty curve is good because anyone can enjoy the game and pass the early levels, and then they'll start losing when the game passes their skill level. Can't be mad about that, great design!
