To prevent this, a large rope called a HYPOZOMATA was tied end to end to stop the
ship from tearing itself apart

The HYPOZOMATA was considered a vital secret: the removal of one from the city was
punishable by death.

You and your men have infiltrated Athens in the dead of night and have found a
HYPOZOMATA.

This is such a great concept, its such a shame that it feels so unfinished (I guess too large a scope / not enough time?)
I would really love to play a version of this game that had a couple more days of development. The soldiers filing out after you as the sun rises is done perfectly

Hey fellow Trireme gamedev! Felt really directionless; didn't really know where the ship was. I would imagine that these thieves would remember where they parked last :)

Agree with the others about a lack of sound/music being unfortunate. Also, I'm playing on a rather bare bones notebook, so the game REALLY chugged when the hundreds of soldiers (hoplites? :)) spawned.

The art and concept are really cool. I liked the hoard of soldiers chasing me down, but I definitely got lost multiple times, and there was no easy way to restart. The low resolution of the opening movie also dampened an otherwise awesome intro.

I really wish it was fleshed out more, felt like it had a lot of potential. And def. add some music next time :^)

Very cool and original idea, and nice graphics. The gameplay could certainly use more depth but... yeah, I understand game jam limitations, of course.

I must be an ace hypozomata thief because I succeeded on my first try without even seeing an enemy soldier until I had reached my ship. I did try a second time with a different route and got caught right next to the dock though.

The idea is nice, but the game isn't finished. Maybe it was too complex for Compo. I like how the level looks and the graphics is pretty good.

Neat twist on the snake theme also i looks really good. I hate soldier
