In this game made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 51, you control a nice robot that got stuck in a volcanic cave and needs to escape from there as fast as possible, for that he needs to use his time bomb.

bomb image3.png

But what's so special about this bomb?

  • That's very simple! It's a time bomb, it makes you go back in time when activated:

When you activate the bomb a 10 second timer will start, after the time count the bomb takes you back in time to the exact moment it was triggered.

But what is this useful for?

  • It's useful so you don't get stuck in places you can't get out of, just activate the bomb go to the place and in 10 seconds you'll be back to the starting position.

So the robot becomes immortal?

  • Not exactly, the bomb returns the robot's atoms to 10 seconds ago but there's no way to return atoms if you don't have atoms, so be careful with lava or things that can hurt the robot.

controls

  • WASD - move

  • Spacebar - Jump

  • E - start the bomb

  • ESC - exit the Game.

Have a good time!

Wonderful! your game.
It's amazing how you came up with that idea.
the system is missing to disable the shaders and the player is sliding through the scenario, your game is amazing I hope it continues

This game is really amazing, I voted all 5's here. The only complaint I will make is that the tutorial never released my hand, I wish I wasn't told exactly what to do all the time.

Really pretty game very well done and interesting mechanic. My only few suggestions would be to have a little less prompts telling the player what to do after the first level. A slightly reduced camera shake when the character is pulled back, and the camera occasionally got stuck on objects and blocked my view. Overall great work!

Really cool idea, though it took me a little while to understand the mechanic on the first level :D
I admit by the end of the demo, it got a little easy to just place the bomb where the will be a bridge then walk to the button. Player movement felt great, and I thought the graphics looks awesome. Really impressed you did this in SDL!

Beautiful and very well polished game, it took me a second to realize what was going on but once I did everything became clear. Music was nice but the tranquil tunes were a weird pair with the lava cave aesthetic. Awesome job!

Did not expect to see such a beautiful game here, and the music is also great. The automatic camera, although occasionally can not let me see what I want to see, most of the time it works very well. I like it

I'm impressed! The only thing it lacks is maybe a tutorial, but apart from that, your game is gorgeous! Loved the gameplay, good job on the entry!

Nice polished look and feel! A small challenge in controlling the bot, which was fun. The puzzles themselves were a bit too similar after the first one, perhaps.
Well done!

Beautiful! I wished for a little more depth in the puzzles, but it was a delightful experience anyway. The camera worked remarkably well and I loved the cute little robot.

The mechanic is nice, and feels polished and pretty. However I found that the level design worked a bit against the game, as I didn't know what the buttons were going to do and the solution to all puzzles was putting the bomb just in the platform before the one where the button was. It's a cool idea that wich more complicated puzzles could lead to a better experience. Good entry!

Visuals are beautiful, Mechanic is really cool! My only annoyance is the camera movement. Camera is not positioned at where i need all the time, sometimes there are object between camera and player, and i can't see where i'm going, then falling in lava. Standard third person camera would be better for this game. Other than that Great Job!

Good game, I found the mechanic of the bomb resetting a little puzzling at 1st but once I understood it was a reset, it became a cake walk. I feel like if it was less than 10 seconds, it would be more of a challenge, but then it wouldn't meet the 10 second theme. Great job!!

Beautiful game, very impressed with how polished it looks!

The time travel mechanic and FX/realization is great, you really notice how much effort has been put into making that work as well as it does.

I would have loved some more levels, and even a bit harder difficulty.

Feels very polished for this short amount of time! Has definitely potential to become something bigger!

Very nice! I liked the concept, but maybe you should have made a few more levels with enemies or something

@aderpychickenstudios Thanks for your feedback! I was afraid of the player not knowing what to do and I went overboard on the tutorials, I could have left only the one from the first phase.

@nosloofah @holyperson Thanks for your feedback! I tried to make a smoother camera for the game by making it go to the correct position very slowly, this worked but it broke the camera collision, since the camera takes a long time to go to the position that is not locked, I didn't have time to try to fix this.

@rpgfaker Thanks for your feedback!

@codey @guilloteam @fedir @thiago-nascimento @hora-timer @nativetq Thanks!

@selkieharbour Thanks for the feedback! The time was a little short so I couldn't think of more in-depth puzzles and the gameplay ended up being based on just putting the bomb in front of the platform, I had some plans to solve the problem of not knowing which button does which, I don't know if you noticed but each platform has a different color, this color is related to the button that activates it, my goal was to leave the platforms and buttons colored according to the functions but I didn't have time to implement it.
