You have 10 seconds to collect mushrooms of a given color. the color keeps changing every 10 seconds. Only windows x64 build. pls enjoy. i there are any bugs let me know. Cheers :) Huge thanks to Studio cherno for keeping me motivated throughout the jam.

I made this game using c language (c17 to be accurate) and the raylib library.

The game did start and it runs smoothly. It fits the theme, but I think there should penalty for doing nothing by the time the timer runs out. A goal per round might work. e.g. pick 2 mushrooms. But on the other hand, you have a stress-free mushroom picking game.

Dude, it starts just fine! Nothing to worry about, the game is actually pretty swag. Good thinking with putting the timer and required colour onto the player's sprite. Only issue I ran into was that the text on the start screen was a bit hard to read (nitpick), and that occasionally, the mushroom you needed would be 'sandwiched' in an impossible position (I did realize that you don't need to collect all the mushrooms tho). I couldnt read what was said after i pressed space to start. You shouldve put a color that contrasts more, like black for instance. Because of that, it took me a few tries to understand what i had to do haha. All of this aside, it was a fun game. I had fun picking some mushrooms !

A simple and pretty fun little game. It is a bit slow paced, but else a fine little game.

By the way when you replay to some feedback, then remember to write like this @dummy432. If you don't do that, they will most likely not see your comment.

A fun little game! Some very tense moments trying to 'thread the needle' between off-color mushrooms to get an extra point. The SFX were nice and peppy. Well done!

Man, RNG is brutal in this game. Sometimes you'll get a setup where you can't even get to half of the screen. The idea is nice, but the algorithm used to choose where to spawn mushrooms could use some work.

Good job. I like the idea for the theme and the sprites you made. The glow is a bit too strong. Also the movement is a hard to control, because of it the high sensitivity. Some levels are not possible, but I had a lucky run once:

A fun little game that can be very challenging at times when the mushroom that you need is so close to the other coloured mushrooms. Well done.

A challenging game! I liked the idea and the sounds and the controls were snappy and responsive. I sometimes felt a bit cheated by the hit boxes which seemed to extend around the mushrooms a bit. The change in timer sound when you get closer to 0 and the the death sound were nice additions. The instruction text was a bit hard to read but I could make it out. Overall, good compo entry. Well done!

Goob job for creating a game with only C in 3 days. Player collider is too big IMHO. Had to try 5 or 6 times to understand the control keys.

The game runs smoothly. As to the gameplay, the mushrooms spawns are too random. One time none spawned that corresponds with the given color, and they often overlap that I have to give up some of them. I don't know if the game gets more difficult but if not so, the player can simply wait for suitable ones to get higher scores. Then I realized you wrote this in C,,, Probably didn't have time to make more complex mechanics I guess. Overall a good game, WELL DONE!

The gameplay is very straightforward. The player should probably lose if they don't collect any mushrooms. One thing I'd like to mention is that if you're using pixel art, you generally want all of the art to adhere to the same scale. That is, all the pixels on the screen should be the same size. Great job!

The game is alright. I found that the collision for the mushrooms to be a bit too large, and I also would have made the player smaller.

I had many runs fail due to being within a certain range of a mushroom that I had no intention of collecting.

I also found the tutorial screen to be a bit hard to read.

Other than that the game runs well, has no glitches, and it looks nice enough. Solid work.

:) I've played much worse! Clearly there could be some polish in terms of how the randomization works, and how mushrooms are placed not too close together, and with enough space to maneuver around. But the basic gameplay idea isn't bad, and it already plays ok. It's pretty forgiving since you don't actually have to get any mushrooms in a round to keep progressing. Not bad!
