Hi everyone :wave:

It's our first GameJam hope you'll like our little game.

Soo what's the game about you ask?

It's pretty simple. Every 10 seconds the playing field shrinks and a new projectile enters the game. The player's goal it to not get hit by the projectiles

Fun little game. Straightforward and easy to know how to play. Like the music and minimal arty style. Good job for a first game jam.

Great game! It fits the theme very well. I don't know why, but I thought the graphic for the player running was humorous!

Very nice for a first time entry! I would say you could have ramped up the difficulty a bit faster, dodging the balls for the first few minutes was relatively trivial. Better to err on the side of too easy rather than too hard though, so it's not a big deal. Nice work!

Awesome music and love the Pico8 use! Definitely gets really challenging. I could waste a lot of time playing this!

It was a little slow at first, but after the speed ramped up for a minute it got pretty fun. I liked the cannon going around the arena.

Cool music! I think it might be interesting to have a bit more variation in the projectiles though :slight_smile:

@joey-van-lierop Thanks! Ye that was the plan initiali to have different projectiles but we didn't manage to do that. Maybe we'll polish the project after the Jam for fun

Simple and fun! Some of the balls looked like the glitched out of the circle, not sure if that is intended or not. It seems like the balls also have differing speeds which is a great addition but I think it would improve the player experience if there was some kinf of tell just by glancing at the ball for a few ms how fast it is. Like different coloring, maybe the faster it is the redder it is or a trail behind that is longer if the ball moves fast.

@krasimir-balchev No The glitching actually was not intended. We just messed up on mechanic and didn't know how to fix it really. Yes I suppose we could add something to improve the readability of the game, in post GameJam versions. We intend to fix the game later, as a way to improve out game developement skills.

Stressful! Enjoyed playing this and love the visuals. On my playthrough it seemed that the turret would fire more than 1 projectile within a 10 second period. Sometimes it would just shoot one, other times maybe three, I figure that's probably a bug. It also would be nice to have some feedback from the turret or something to indicate that it is about to shoot, rather than relying on watching the timer or the ring shrinking animation. Great entry :)
