Quad PD by CodeChomper
You are in charge of a new drone project that collects revenue from citizens of Pettyville who break the law every ten seconds. Your job is to gather as much revenue from the citizens as possible without crashing the drone.
Duck and dive between buildings and you hunt down the criminals who walk and drive the streets in this large city.
NOTE: There is an invert Y axis checkbox on the main menu!

Funny concept

Sadly it seems that my old PC can't run the game properly (a watch seconds needle is laging less - and besides, I had a NVidia warn at start, saying that the current graphics driver "has known issues in D3D11", whatever that means). But you provided a video of the gameplay, and it's largely sufficient to see that this is a solid and good entry you guys made ! I will retry it for sure when I will manage to change my configuration. Well done!

@stupidhobbit Thanks, the movement of the quad was redone mid jam because we wanted it to be more fun and arcade vs super realistic and hard to fly. We felt it was a good compromise between fast frantic fun and challenging. It is hard to make a level this big feel fast and fun, I hope we delivered.

@lereveur sorry you didn't get to play it. It is a bit intensive with almost 200 AI cars and people committing crimes every 10 seconds. I think for the next jam we will tone down the map size and have a graphics settings so more people can enjoy.

The Axis inverted mouse look, got me, I couldn't properly play and it felt too fast, because you need to fly, aim, shoot, etc, I think a assistance is needed or more clear things :( overall seems nice but hard :P

A very solid entry! Absolutely amazing job done with the AI for the cars and pedestrians, really gave me a sense of immersion into a living city. The controls were nice and tight. The cityscape was well put together, UE5 definitely does the heavy lifting for good graphics. I enjoyed the gameplay, it was fun to hunt down those absolute lawbreakers "using someone elses wifi" hahaha, however I didn't see the theme present here, maybe I missed something? I feel there's potential for this to be something much bigger! The city really felt so fun to navigate.

Fun to play, great job with the AI's, controls were a tad bit hard to learn but after a bit I got used to it, and they felt pretty good. I agree that there wasn't really a theme (so maybe opt out of the theme category?), but it was pretty good!

@rodolfodth On the main menu there is an invert y axis check box, I knew some people like it inverted and some don't if you didn't see it please try again with your preferred axis.

@jag and @appleplectic We tied the theme in with every ten seconds a crime is committed in the town. Also if you don't fine the law breakers fast enough and the current crime count gets to 10 it is game over. Maybe we should have put a 10 second count down until the next crime to make it more clear. Thanks for playing, rating, and commenting.

Oop; didn't realize that lol; great use of theme now that I think about this.

@lowkey-interactive did you happen to see the checkbox on the main screen for inverting the Y axis? I was worried I might have made it too small.

I really like the idea, very original! Tried my best at punishing these awful criminals but unfortunately someone walked on me, there should be a hefty fine for that! The controls were nice and responsive, though sometimes aiming was quite difficult

Controlling the drone around the city to punish and fine CRIMINAL SCUM was pretty great. The controls where nice (PS: Thanks for the note about invert!) although it was kind of hard to aim the drone. Nice touch with the humor for what the tickets where, they got a good chuckle out of me each time a new one appeared (we fine people for flying kits in parks!)

Great to finaly be able do something against pedestrians not wearing seatbelts! Hint: for hard mode, go upside down. Nice game, its really fun to chase the criminals!

a bit tedious after a while, otherwise a cool game
