Really fun game! The game was very intuitive to understand and the levels were very creative. I enjoy how you have to iterate on your strategy as you attempt a level.

I like the tutorial progression, where you firstly understand what to do and after that get a puzzle with the same mechanic.

Well done!

Very good work, amazing what you managed in the time. I especially enjoyed that when you get caught, the game goes on, so you unleash complete rampage without repercussion.

What a fantastic concept! Way better than the NES version!
I found a bug where you can slowly move and even complete levels after you die. But maybe that's for the best, cause this game is super hard. I love it. I got stuck on level 7

Really fits the theme perfectly! And the mechanic of needing to keep hidden works great. I was wondering why I couldn't just rampage.

Fantastically polished, love the concept. Took me a long time to beat but kept me engaged the whole way through. The only problem I had with it was that there was too much waiting, which seems kind of ridiculous given the theme of the jam and nature of your main mechanic-- but many levels involved slow walks through long corridors where it felt like I would prefer to just be able to hop right back into the challenge I was just facing after being caught. Just a small gripe, though-- overall, great game.

The game and idea itself were really fun! The art, aesthetics, and sounds all fit very nicely together in a little package. This was a very well polished game in terms of mechanics and gameplay.

The only issue I had was very similar to what other commenters had. There was a lot of waiting and moving to tight corners in the room. That wasn't the biggest issue I had the drained the fun a little bit of the game. It was mostly due to the level design and how I would get so far into a level (I think it was around 12-14) only to die and have to do it all over again (long corridors that were easy to get stuck on around corners)

Otherwise, very good game! Good job!

Wow! so good ^^ I know were not far into rating, but this looks like a winner to me. Such a great idea and done so well :)

Very cute ending ^^ that level, I forget which, either lvl11 or lvl12 where there's a bunch lined up against the top wall and a bunch of syringes along the bottom was sooo hard, and the solution was so simple haha ^^ great job!

Amazing entry! The concept goes perfectly well with the theme.

The mechanic is fun and the design of stealth levels really adds to the strategy. I love the level design that the player may choose either to be stealthy or just to erase all the threats in specific order. It felt great when my own solution worked.

Also it is quite immersive that only when I finished all the levels did I realized that how long I had been playing this game XD

This is awesome. I laughed right from the first moment it turned.
Ohhh.. those poor people ...

You made it THAT good!

Great game.

This is so innovative, works very well with the theme while feeling like it's own game that could very easily stand on its own without the theme, amazing work. Also, I'd say that the sprite art is pretty cool (the blood made me feel so bad when I killed nooo (nice work again lol)).

this is an _excellent_ take on the theme. I really love that you just fully lose control as Hyde (and appreciate that the loss of control is much shorter than the 10 second intervals you get as Jekyll)

04. Oct 2022 · 02:57 UTC
Of every game I've played so far, this is a definite number one. And it's a compo too. Wow.

Floor -12 can be cheesed by hugging the bottom, which is kinda cool. The mechanic was REALLY innovative, and kept me entertained through all 14 levels. Level design was great, with some free levels to introduce you to a new mechanic without physically telling you. Music fit really well, the SFX felt fresh and fit right in, and the graphics and animations were simple but extremely polished. Just really polished overall- doesn't overcomplicate things, does a few things but does them extremely well. Even the title sounds catchy too— I could totally see this in the app store as a full-fledged game, and it wouldn't look out-of-place at all :)

Really great game. Graphisms and musics are great, and the gameplay is great. I think that it could be more fun if you don't have a gameover when bad thing is spotted. It could leads to multikills, which would be really fun !

A very original idea! I really like the visual part of the game! Music also perfectly emphasizes important points for the gameplay - it's cool!

It's also cool that with each level the game is revealed more and more, showing new characters or possibilities.

04. Oct 2022 · 20:12 UTC
Excellent idea, and a particularly interesting take on the theme. Definitely felt very original. I also thought the design was good in the that you quickly pick up the techniques by playing and it was cool that you need a combination of embracing and avoiding the monster within. Took me a few levels before I realised the clue was in the name! It could perhaps have been a bit condensed, and there were a few frustrating bits, but other than that really nice.

Very strong idea for the theme! The uncontrollable burst every 10 seconds is a take that a few people have done, but this does it so well and with such a great narrative choice for explaining the chaos. I loved how it was a puzzle game as well as a stealthy strategy game too. Great job!

Very fun take on the theme using characters I feel most people would be familiar with! It suits the theme so well haha. Fantastic take on the theme, and really fun take on stealth and manipulation. Sadly I didn't get to the end, I quit at one of the levels after the syringe is introduced, the one where you've got multiple guards and civilians lined up in one room. Tried it over a dozen times and came close but not quite. Awesome work.

This is one of the best I played this jam. You immediately get how to play it, it's a good combination of sneak + action + puzzles, with a good game progression. The audio really complements the gameplay too.

I especially like the fact that you can't attack on your own, that the curse is your weapon too but can't control it, and yet you need it. It just makes for a good experience of the combination of gameplay plus narrative, that's not that common in jam games. Even a lot non-jam games aren't this cohesive!

Wow amazing job! This was so unique and executed really well. I absolutely love the use of audio to emphasize the change between your two forms. It made for this very interesting puzzle game in general. The fact that you can't control your cursed form and it will just try to kill the nearest person but only triggers for a brief period is genius. Amazing job!
