What a cool style! I wanna see more of this Cajun Conjuror!

Cool style! I enjoyed the top-down action and the teleporting is cool. Maybe reduce the shoot and teleport delays a bittle, as right now, once you've teleported in you will end up taking a few hits until you can teleport again or kill the enemy.

Home again! Lovely artstyle and music, would have like to see more enemy variety though.

Cool game, love the tides mechanic. Maybe a bit short, and it would help to see your health somewhere (if the game has health, I did not die once)

Was a tough game at first because I was trying to play it like a bullet hell, but slowing down and taking careful aim ended up working much better. Wish there was some additional information on screen like a life total or number of collected orbs or timer for the tides but it didn't detract from the game. Enjoyed it, great work!

This was an interesting use of the theme - I didn't notice the waters ebbing and flowing at first, but getting caught out in the water soon woke me up to it! Subtle but effective. Simple and enjoyable, though I didn't know how far away I was from death I was which I would have liked.

This is a solid, fun jam game. Good job!

I love the classic adobe flash game vibes this game is giving me, even the music reminds me of old web games. Simple gameplay but great mood.

@pianoman373 thank you that means a ton! Flash games on Newgrounds were a big inspiration for me as a kid!

Very nice! I liked the visuals and music a lot! The tide mechanic was also pretty interesting, and I love how the water looks! Definitely could use some UI to make things more readable and a bit more game feel, but other than that I liked it a lot!

There's lots that I really like about this. The tide effect is impressive! The music is fantastic! Great font choices! Excellent name! However... The gameplay is a bit frustrating, there's no real strategy beyond 'jump into range and hope you kill them first'. Less cooldown on the teleport I think would've helped feel more dynamic and fun. I read the comments and went back and played it again and although I got further I jus found the limited movement frustrating

I really enjoy all the art: graphics, music, sound FX. The only thing I think that could be improved, is the gameplay itself. Different kind of ennemies could really help, and some UI too. For example, when an arrow hit the character, there's no way to know if we're really hurt, and how many more can we take before loosing.

Overall, that's a very nice jam game, and you made an impressive work on the art.

Definitely a very interesting art style and a cool setup for the game. The setting is conveyed relatively well and it's mostly clear as to when the water is or isn't raised which is nice. That and the enemies are mostly distinct from the background which helps with avoiding them murdering you a lot.

Though I will say mechanics wise it's a little lackluster I guess. Tere's no real indication of which way to go for the next orb, or any real strategy to getting them besides avoid the alligator, shoot enemy and touch orb.

Which to be fair since the alligator isn't really always there, it's not exactly the hardest thing to avoid. Which is unfortunately cause it seems like it could be a nice incentive to play a little riskier if it wasn't just waiting to the side. Though the small projectile size could make that a little harder to do. Depending. That may be due to me not being the best at this perspective and aiming though to be fair.

Overall though a nice graphical and auditory setup, not too much in the way of complex mechanics. Which isn't always a bad thing, but definitely a nice base for a top down shooter with a relatively simple goal. Though a little more feedback would definitely give it a bit more juice.

A fun quick magic game, I like teleporting, and I killed the gator! There could've been more ui to display cooldowns, orbs collected and hp. My biggest problem was that I was irrationally disappointed by the orbs all being the same colour :p

I also ran into a bug, muting didn't mute sound effects after a few seconds.

Great art style and music! Deserving of a very high score. The downsampled, crunchy sfx plus the nostalgic top down perspective really took me back and the 10 seconds mechanic is very well executed. Won me at the title, good job!

Great art and music. Really brought me back of playing old school games. It was a little easy to hide behind objects and hit enemies where they wouldn't attack you.

Great art! It reminded me a lot of an old Conker game for GBC that wasn't very good but had great art. The tide effect is really nice but I think it should kill you rather than just slow you down. The gameplay was nice but it would be great if the web player was a bit bigger or allowed full screen. It really could have used an indicator of player health. It was possible to snipe enemies from far enough away they never got aggro'd, that's how I killed basically everything including the Alligator. I think if I had a bigger screen the aiming would have been a lot easier and I wouldn't have been incentivized to cheese.
