Drone TD by Stefan B.
Drone TD
Every run will differ. A rogue-like take on a classic tower defense. The twist? Every 10 seconds the shop updates and random new upgrades and towers are available.
You can't win but can you survive more than 5 minutes? Good LUCK!

Game Description
A combination of rogue-like and tower defense. You control a small drone that can move around freely. Pick up towers and place wherever you want OR become the gun while carrying a tower. You won't be able to carry another tower. Fly around and discover the map, you might find something useful but keep an eye on your base's health. The shop can only be used while in range of your base. Enemies can spawn from anywhere and will try to destroy your base.
Tip
Your base can be healed. Your towers can not!
Controls:
- Pick up or Place towers - Space or 'E'
- Control the Drone - W,A,S,D or arrow keys
- Buying items - Mouse click
Sound
For the sound design and FX we used Cubase 12 Pro as our DAW. Within Cubase we used different VSTs from Native Instruments, Steinberg, Sonivox and Waves. No samples have been used and every sound has been created from scratch. For a quick mastering process we used the Ozone Izotope 10 Advanced AI where a reference track from Mick Gordon´s Doom soundtrack has been used to match gain levels and limiters.

Nice entry overall !
Anyway it's quite fun to play and an overall nice entry.
We didn't really have time to improve the balancing of the game. I believe with some number tweaking all of these things could get fixed.
Anyway, good concept, funny to take a tank and fly with it shooting enemies
Same as you had with mij game played to long :)
Good job 👍
I like the graphics and the music was super chill even though I was taking out all the enemies. Great job!
The balance is really out of wack but that to be expected with little time to delve into it.
The machine gun range get insane pretty fast and the missile behaviour really hinder it : it fire a missile that take time to get to the target but if the target is dead it just explode where it is doing no dommage.
I also never ran out of ressources to spend on upgrade
The one thing I liked the most was the ability to pick up turrets and fly around with them. This creates a lot of interesting strategic options for first of all placing turrets but also saving them from harm. It started to get to Starcraft Medivac-Marine levels of micro when I tried to get everything out of my last turret. Then I realised that all of that micro was pointless because there does not seem to be a drawback for carrying a turret. For balance reasons it probably should be encouraged to keep your turrets on the ground - for example by giving them a small attack rate boost when grounded.
But overall, it is a solid jam game. Good work!
One small thing: I understand that you may not want to reveal the entire environment through a mini map since we're supposed to explore on our own, but I definitely got lost a few times because a vast majority of the land had no memorable tile pattern that were distinguishable. Perhaps an arrow pointing where the base is would be helpful? then at least we won't be lost on the map.
Thanks for making the game! good job c:
Curious to know what causes this. If you have more details that would be great!
