This was a super interesting take on 2D platforming. I especially enjoyed the music. great job!

Interesting game! But can summon the dog's wrath somehow  Got tired of waiting.

And also, after I transformed, I got stuck by my own corpse LOL.

Nice game! Great music and graphics. Controls were a little tough to get used to, but they worked for the levels built. The one thing I didn't get is when/how my ghost would get locked horizontally. But fun game, and good level design!

I thought the conceit of death and reincarnation was a very clever take on the theme, and using different bodies to solve different puzzles was a lot of fun. Would love to see it fleshed out with more bodies and more puzzles! Great work.

@arcobaleno it should appear on the left as a count down timer, is it not showing for you?

I didn't see the twist coming from such a cute looking game. The mechanics is really fun to play with and the music and sound design are on point. The only suggestion I have is to work on improving the movement physics. AFAIK, there are some great platformer library for Unity (such as the one by Tarodev) and could greatly benefit the controls. Overall a very fun game, it took me around 10 minutes to beat the game!

Excellent graphics
Great gameplay .. but why kill the hero so that his soul is transferred to another body to complete the level? What lies in this?

@yusovv death is inevitable, you're trying to delay it

A really full and polished game! The controls felt really fluid, but then felt more icky when i transferred to the animals :( might have been my browser though? Either way this was a wonderful experience, Good Job!

Once I became the deer, I wanted to spam jump and never stop. Very satisfying gameplay and a good unique take overall on platforming. 10/10 deer got mad hops.

I think this is my favourite game so far! Amazing art, love the idea of possessing different animals and using their unique abilities to solve differing puzzles. Great job!

This was really fun! Awesome idea that fit the theme well.

Some things I liked:

- The art was cute and super readable. There was never any confusion about what had collision and what would hurt you. I also liked that you took the time to animate different playable characters. I just wish we got more chances to platform with the deer!
- The music and sound served to create a nice calming atmosphere while I was going through the puzzles.
- The level designs were all unique and interesting and it felt great to solve the puzzles
- This fit the theme perfectly as there are many points when it feels like you're racing against the clock to get to the next spot before you get zapped
- The idea itself was really great and well executed. I can see a lot of potential in designing cool puzzles with these mechanics.

Things that could be improved:

- Depending where your previous vessel died, you could lock yourself out and have to restart the level. I think once one of your characters dies you should remove collision on them
- The platforming controls felt a little floaty and not very precise. Some of the smaller platform jumping sections felt frustrating because of this
- I didn't really understand the levels where you can see the dog and all you have to do is walk or jump over to the statue. Those felt kind of pointless
- Sometimes I found myself waiting for quite a long time for lightning to strike me. It may be good to have the ability to speed up time or something so that you still have to reach the target spot on time but if you do it super quick you don't have to sit around and wait for 10+ seconds

Overall, this was a nice and polished submission with a great idea behind it. Nice work!

What a beautiful game. I've loved playing this, even though at first I got confused by what I actually needed to do but once I got it the levels were really nice. I wish I would have had more puzzles so that i could keep playing - that's how good it was. The graphics are beautiful and the sound is lovely as well. Really great game. Congrats!

Congrats on the entry! It's very complete, with art, music, and a fully fledged game loop. I chuckled a few times at the ideas/ when I understood the pun in the title. The platforming aspect of the game is pretty basic, but your mechanics make up for that! Cheers!

I4ve just understood why there was a dog :D ahah... well I enjoyed the play, the controls aren't really fluids but it reminds me a bit prince of persia where the art and animations are so smooth. Color palette is good, the animations are nice, I can see the good work! I liked the core idea about dying and swapping from body to body. Nice job!

Hello, this is a great result for two people in such a short time to create a game :)
I want to note that I liked the idea with a ghost that can change the body :D

Really like the Cute Pixel art!!

The Ghost / Changing Bodies is a really neat mechanic

Had fun playing the game and made it all the way to the End

I think I had a few issues with the controls either when I was a ghost or a deer. But it wasn't a big deal to restart the level.

Great Game!!!

This is a great entry. The pixel art is very good! Loved it! I really enjoyed the level design and how it worked with the soul transfer. Great puzzle/platform work. My only issue was the jump. It felt off but that didn't stop me from completing the game being forever trapped in a box. I had fun, great work.

Under the cute surface this game is kinda grim! It's a bit of a miss on the theme imo but I certainly enjoyed the game. Dog needs to go to anger management. To improve the game I'd work on the character controls and make the pacing a bit snappier!

@m-dam how'd it miss the theme?

@davekingcool My idea was that you kinda have to hurry towards the inevitable, instead of delaying it.

@m-dam death is inevitable, the game is about delaying that inevitability by jumping into another creature, im not sure how we could make it fit the theme any more?

@davekingcool Hm, haven't considered it like that before. Maybe the theme is better implemented than I thought.
