The explosions felt like they had a lot of impact and the weapons were pretty inventive. The start screen was really detailed as well. The only thing I could think of to possibly improve would be more control or more difficulty because at the moment it feels like every player would play in the same way and probably win. But I played it all the way through and I was disappointed when it ended because it was a lot of fun.

Beautiful presentation! I love the feedback the game gives whenever you hit the meteors, it feels really satisfying. I wish there were some more reason to use A and D to move around, perhaps some smaller metereorites could fall and stun you if you got hit or something similar. The upgrades all feel incredibly satisfying and by the end I felt like a god hahah. Good job on your game!!

I saved the dinosaurs! This is a really good feeling submission! The UI, the effects, the background, the shake. It was all really well done! Thanks!

You know, you were right. Upgrades are where it's at! This is a lot of fun and it's the best gameplay representation of an asteroid I've seen all jam (I've seen a loooot of asteroids

@tiny-pig and @linnet5 I agree that the main deficiency of this game is the lack of challenge and there's no goal other than shoot at the asteroids. As far as the A and D thing, originally I didn't even have that in there as this was meant to be a touch only game but I figured PC people would immediately complain about not being able to move so I just shoehorned it in.

@david-york Thanks I put what I felt like was overkill into the asteroid generation. I can make an X x Y size asteroid programmatically.

I came into this game not expecting to like it that much, but I played it all the way through to the very end. Great game. The upgrade system really made this work.

Yay, I saved the dinosaurs. It seems extinction wasn't so inevitable after all.
The upgrades were satisfying, and overall it felt well polished, if a bit short.

I do love me a good upgrade shooter. Combining and upgrading all the different weapons simultaneously almost reminded me of an old Xbox 360 Arcade game called Heavy Weapon!

Also, the strategy put into chaining explosions together is very satisfying

Very cool game. Top marks in the fun category! It feels like you spent a lot of time tuning the upgrades, asteroid size and speed to eke out just the right amount of eustress. It is so satisfying to blow up the last chunk of asteroid right before it hits Earth. The different weapons were cool, although I don't know exactly what each was doing.

Had to play it a second time. This time, I never died. I guess I delayed the inevitable too well!

I had fun playing this! I liked the extra detail at the end with the scientists snooping around.
The last meteor speed upgrade is really overpowered, i had multiple rounds of blasting meteors i could not even see. It might have been worth trying a mix of big and small meteors side by side at different speeds as a form of priority management challenge. The game got a bit loud with the shots and explosions by the end, that could be one thing to consider managing to some extent to prevent an auditory burnout for the user.
Well done overall!

This was executed very well. The game has nice sound and graphics and the quick flow from mission to mission with a quick upgrade choice in between worked nicely to keep me in a flow state. Impressive, especially for a solo entry.

This one was a lot of fun! I was a big fan of the graphics, I thought they worked really well for the type of game you were going for. I always love games that have you get stronger over time. They're super addicting to play. I also think that the idea of saving the dinosaurs was pretty fun.

Two little nitpicks I have:
1. Gameplay wise there wasn't all that much to do. Luckily the satisfaction of blowing up the meteors kinda negates this
2. It didn't really feel like the dinosaurs were "inevitable" - you could just save them in the end.

Other than that I thought this was a great game, and it's really cool that you designed it for android.

I love the game overal. The effect feels very satisfying and the combination of the gun is a fun mechanic. I just have a something with the rocket, it is too strong and make the game unbalance. The game is basically done at the time you get your hand on the rocket. Maybe make the game more balance should be good. Also the game is winnable so I don't really thing it fit the theme as "inevitable". Great work !

The progression was very satisfying, it always felt like I was getting stronger but the missiles are definitely overpowered.

Still though, I feel like the game ended way too early, I could have played a lot more rounds obliterating pathetic sky rocks with my missiles before the repetitiveness would have kicked in.

@tano @skleembof you are correct missiles are crazy OP. I highly recommend doing another run where you try to avoid taking them. I have played through with every combination of stuff and each one feels unique (see my above screenshot of the wave run. I know I'm biased though.

Cool game and concept! Sadly, I don't think you game fits the theme "Delay the Inevitable". Nevertheless, everything is great!

Crazy playable, and just simple/short enough for a game jam entry. Although I could have easily played for longer.

Nice juicy effects. I also liked how every upgrade I chose has a noticeable and immediate impact on the next round. I found myself excited to see what upgrade options I would get to pick from next round.

I saved the dinosaurs :) When I launched the game, I thought I was only gonna play for a very short time, but it turns out the game is very satisfying! Good job on making such a simple concept work in a pleasent way! Only issue, the UI didn't scale properly when I put the game in full screen. Good work!
