Great work! The game looks beautiful and with a little more polish this could be pretty fun

I played this version and the first one briefly so that I could compare. You've definitely come a long way, especially in terms of what you could pull off with graphics. I'm not a big fan of puzzle games, but this one held my interest. It probably would've been better suited in the Extra category, though.

Nice game. I really enjoyed playing it. Graphics looks amazing.
Gameplay is good but you could add some harder puzzles.

Thanks @bubakgames, difficulty level is always a challenge for LD give the extreme skill level variation in the player base. I targeted the easier side so hopefully everyone could experience the full game.

Very cute little game. The art is simple but it works in this game just fine and I think it creates a cool atmosphere.

Some minor notes; in some maps it was hard for me to distinguish which platforms were below me and which one above me. I think the perspective and simple art creates the illusion that some of the platforms are further away than they actually are. This combined with quite tight jump arcs makes some of the platforming sections a bit frustrating.

The game could use a bit harder puzzles but for a jam environment this is just fine in my opinion!

That was cool, I was surprised for a moment when I interacted with the last one and it closed the game hahaha, wasn't super expecting that. Was there a relation to the theme? I didn't super get the "delaying the inevitable" idea from it :o:

I like this a lot overall. It feels very complete, and the art style is honestly really nice. Its simple but effective.

I think in terms of polish, its almost there, buts its missing a couple of features to really take it to the next level:
- Better communication to the player about which platforms are how far away (can be hard to tell if you're going to make a jump or not, or which islands are jumpable and their heights and stuff). I think some better lighting / shadows / camera angles could help with this!
- Sound effects for the player
- More variety in terms of soundtrack (its pretty repetitive)
- Theme is pretty much irrelevant here (I see you remade your first game, which is cool, but it doesn't really fit the theme at all :)

This is a really solid game though dude! Congrats on making a very finished product with multiple levels :) the block animations are by far my favorite part.

@william-corrin thank you for the really good feedback, if I could give you 3 hearts worth of "that was quality feedback" I would.

I spend an hour or two after the theme was announced, a full nights' sleep on it and a bit of time in the morning and just couldn't come up with any game-play that I wanted to make that really fit it well, and since theme was optional, I just opted out. Did feel a bit weird doing that... but I was at a point of 'opt out of theme' or "don't do the jam"... so I picked opt out.

@adroitconceptions you're welcome!

Yeah, I totally get it. I (and many others) struggled a lot with this theme. I think it was the most difficult one I have participated in so far.

I hope one day there is an actual theme for redoing an old project, because it sounds like a bunch of fun to do!

Cheers dude :smile:

Hi. I finished this game and I really enjoyed it! Everything is smooth and simple and the game performance is also good. It will be nice feature when you will add keyboard buttons hints in the game dialogs to help player understanding game key binds instead of looking for this on Itch.io.

The game is interesting, but the controls could be made standard.

@gamedevalexandr

If you mean WASD on the keyboard, I did arrows over WASD because there are keyboard layouts that WASD does not work on (a fairly standard choice when making games for an international audience - at least unless you setup rebinding).

If you mean the controller jump/interact layout, there isn't a standard (different games place them in different spots).

If you mean something else, some details would be helpful.

This game looks really good visually. I really like the style of the world, and this is a very little thing, but the way the falling platforms move is really satisfying. The gameplay is simple but it definitely works. The platforming is a bit clunky due to the low jump height and the lack of ability to move the camera to determine depth. I did really like the incorporation of slopes though, it made the terrain and the gameplay more interesting. Great job!

I love the puzzles and mood of the game, i'm just sad it's a bit short i would want to play more! And i gotta say I don't really see the "innevitable" part haha! Good game! Well done!

Very nice looking game, I understand the difficulty of using that theme. (was it you who suggested Floating Islands or a variant thereof? :P )

My only nitpick is a slight input lag (about 100-150 ms), enough to make me fall off once, despite a very smooth visual framerate. I played on the Linux version.

@cagibi - interesting, I had no input lag issues (I developed and tested on Linux). You might have been noticing a lack of coyote time as that was something I didn't manage to implement in the character controller.

I don't think I suggested any themes.

Nice work! Some thoughts:

* Took me a while to figure out the keys
* Nice graphics!
* It is kind of hard to tell where to go or how far things are. Maybe you could tweak the level design a bit to work with the limitations
* Add some interesting puzzles: I think there is potential to take the simple "move gem from here to here" idea and make some neat puzzles with just that, but the level design was a bit too simple (one of the levels I liked, where you had to move a placed gem).ö
* The part with the moving boxes didn't feel very fitting with the peaceful atmosphere

I loved this game - what a unique experience. I'd love to see more of this! The audio was a bit stale, but it didn't bother me at all. I loved the starry background and the way the bridges came together! Simple little platforming puzzles in an isometric world. Really intriguing, please make more content! :D

Neat game! Nice to se a 3D platformer and a puzzle platformer at that! Simple but effective graphics and gameplay, and I like the bridge animation. Even though there are not that many levels, you introduce some different ideas and mechanics, making it a interesting experience.

Good work!

I quite like the setting and mood you managed to create. The character movement and platforming is really solid.

I actually preferred the puzzles in your first version better but the new version is a lot nicer to look at and play.

Overall solid, albeit not theme fitting.

Bit of an interesting setting. Almost looked like a golf course in space which isn't something I see every day. TBH I actually liked the moving boxes mostly because it shook up the puzzle design and gave it more of a puzzle flair.

Doing a remake is a pretty neat idea. That's a bit tempting for myself since my early projects were.....not so polished :)

The game is pretty neat. The aesthetics were great, but the platforming and puzzle solving aspects weren't super fleshed out. Despite that, I still enjoyed the game, nice job!

Nice graphics, and calming music. I like the game, but a way to move the camera would help a lot.
Good job :)

I see that the theme of sports has permanent fans even in the world of video games)) However, I do not see anything wrong with this. Interest in golf can begin at this stage. I myself have moved to the next stage - https://melbet.com/ The stakes perfectly complement my main interest. This is an added benefit as it brings me money.
