Change Log

Fixed two bugs after the deadline: 1. the trashcan minigame didn't work in full screen mode, since the stretched minigame viewport didn't receive mouse events 2. the game over condition was formulated incorrectly, therefore the game went on forever, spawning more and more shirts

09-04-2022

  • game over check was still faulty, now it should be working as intended
  • fixed materials sometimes missing
  • fixed stretch mode for minigames
  • interactable objects now grow on mouse hover
  • increased plate speed in dishes minigame
  • books now appear scattered all over the floor
  • clothing is now divided into socks and shirts

11-04-2022

  • improved controls of dishwashing minigame (doesn't use physics engine anymore, which would often use to glitches)
  • improved controls of paperwork minigame

Strange game, quite an interesting take on the theme. Music is pretty good. Couldn't figure out how I was supposed to interact with the bin

The graphics and music were great. Not sure if it's a glitch or what but I always had 10 hours to clean things, so I'm not sure where the delay the inevitable comes into play. Other than that I enjoyed it.

I just had fun cleaning my room for a while! Nice graphics. It feels like it's missing an ending though? I let it run for a while to see how messy it could get and it seems to max out?

Great! Wonderful concept, good mini games, and really makes use of just one tiny room for an entire game.

@oliver-richmeier @gnome4 @graphite Thanks for the warm feedback!
Regarding your questions: There were actually two bugs I didn't catch before submission, but you encountered during your playthrough. The trashcan minigame didn't work in full screen mode and the game over condition didn't trigger. Both should be fixed now.

The room never actually seemed that bad. I'm joking, but I really enjoyed playing this! The graphics were great, the sound was superb, and the controls made sense and were easy to understand, although playing this with a touchpad was a little challenging. Great job!

That was fun, feels like what I have to do every day to keep my office clean.
Nice take on the theme, inevitable there is not enough time in the day to do everything (including making a game).
great entry!

I love the art work! The minigames were fun, and I wish there were more of them! Great job all around!

The art is very minimalistic and clean, I like that. The music fits the mood too. And the minigames were a great addition to the game, I wish there were more but who am I to complain? :D This is a well made game, great job!

Good game! I cleaned my room for 76 days, but only stopped because I was tired. Inevitably I would get bored and put it off for as long as possible? :)

The game is really good ! Love the idea, I would just have love more visual feedbacks with the interactibles objects because it take some time to understand what can be done in the game.

I appreciate that you went back and fixed some game-breaking bugs and that you made sure to list them in a changelog. Now on to the game itself: I think the difficulty needs to increase faster. I quit after day 27 because I didn't see an end in sight and the game got too repetitive. The plate washing controls are a bit finicky but I think that's completely fine. I love the aesthetic and music. Great work overall! Please consider checking out our game as well: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/50/25-vikings

Nice submission! There was a zen-like quality to cleaning up, but after a while I wondered if there was a win condition?

Great job!

@gal-afik Yeah, I wasn't to happy with the controls either. Hopefully, they are better now. I would love to check out your game, but unfortunately, I am on Linux and you only published a build for windows :( Personally, I think web builds are the safest option for game jam entries, so everyone can enjoy your game.
@gul thanks! No, currently there is no win condition - only a lose condition, if your room gets to messy :)

Instead of cleaning my room, i play a game cleaning a room.

I liked the minigames and got pretty good at it fast. While throwing the trash in the bin, you can do other stuff too, for example. I guess you can call me a pro now.

Really nice work, was fun to play!

Nice music and mini games. I am not sure if it is possible to finish the game (win or lose) in some way though. It felt like an infinite loop of mini games.

Nice game. I enjoyed the variety of tasks, especially the document sorting game. I wish the difficulty would have ramped up fast/more: After day 25 I was still consistently managing to get my room to fully cleaned and then just let everything pile up to see what would happen. The amount of art assets for your slowly degrading room was cool to see. The graphics in-general and also the sound were really well done too. Good job!
