Summary

The year is 1854. You're in charge of getting a large shipment of alien tech, when suddenly you are ambushed by Orzal The Observant. Avoid his attacks and take him out while keeping your train fueled, otherwise you will perish... or worse, fall behind schedule.

Mechanics

Find and attack Orzal's weak point to defeat him. Running over the coal in the back cart will automatically pick up a shovel of coal, bring that coal to the top of the front smoke stack to replenish the train.

Controls:

  • Controller (xbox gamepad, others should work):
    • (A) Jump
    • (X) Attack
    • (Left Analog Stick) Movement
    • (Start) Pause
  • Keyboard:
    • (Up Arrow/W) Jump
    • (Spacebar/Click) Attack
    • (Left and Right Arrows/A and D) Move left and right
    • (Escape/P) Pause

Trains are cool. Fighting aliens is cool. Fighting a giant alien on a train is super cool

Really loved this one - surprised me a lot when another attack was the first to come! Definitely awesome graphics!

I loved the art style and the concept is funny. But the controls were not intuitive to me. And movement was difficult for me to grasp. So I wasn't able to play for very long.

Solid little bossfight, quite difficult due to the instant death. I didnt quite understand the coal part? I guess it increased the train health? But I might be blind. I liked the art style and the boss patterns.

The Wilhelm Scream, nice. The balancing act between refueling the train and attacking the boss is that right amount of challenging to keep returning. Solid effort.

Train? Alien? Fun?? Excellent jam game, and cool idea to really just focus on a boss battle. Took me a sec to figure out how to refuel the train but I got it after a bit of trial and error. Not too hard, either! Great work.

I enjoyed the boss battle and platforming mechanics. The hit box on the player did seem a bit wide, but double jump helped deal with that.

Great feel to the game, my only suggestion would be work on the fight pacing a bit more. Long periods of "and now you get to get stabbed by slow tentacles while you can't progress the game" aren't that fun to play through. Maybe I missed it, but always having the eye be exposed at some point for risky "cheat hits" would be really nice. I know you could in at least two of the boss fight states.

Very fun game! The art seemed fabulous to me, really a very good pixel art, the only problem I found is that in the trunk of the train you have to jump towards the roof because if you keep running you will fall, I died several times for that reason haha! great job!!

I think I got about half way through the boss' heealth bar? love the degree of graphical polish, had fun with this, each single playthrough was nice and snappy.

I quite liked this game. The art was good, The music was good. I think it would have been good if the music had not started over every time I died, because I died a lot. The gameplay was fun, but it took me a minute to figure out exactly what to do. At first I did not realize that you had to place the coal on the train exhaust pipe. The monsters attack went on for too long in my opinion, but I guess that the death of my player is the inevitable thing. I couldn’t beat the monster, (a) I am not good enough at games XD (b) I would like to go to sleep sometime (c) I want to play games that aren’t yours even though this one did keep my attention for longer than most have so far! Thanks for this one, I really liked it!
