that was a weird but really funny game, it was sometimes a bit hard to control but it was fun to play

It gave me a good chuckle, but didnt know what to do at first.
Could do with a clearer tutorial good level of player feedback!

Game is really well done and very fun! (I played for over half an hour Lol). I love the intuitive way you make each item and the paintings are awesome. My only complaint is that the cost to open the exit is waay too high.

Glad you enjoyed it, I also had a lot of fun making it. This was my first Game Jam and more or less my first time actually making something with a game engine.

Didn't play for too long, though it was enjoyable enough that I might come back for a longer attempt. A bit hard to figure out what to do at the start, mostly because the snail spawns close enough to kill you if you stay still for a few seconds. (I died at 6 seconds the first time because I couldn't figure out mouse capture.) Once you understand the objective it is a very nice and fun game.

Great idea for a game! Liked that it was very like Overcooked! I found that there was a weird bug where the camera would suddely do a 180 and I kept getting caught by the snail. And there were a few times where I just couldn't get the order out. But thought it was fun!

Nice original game. Played way longer than I expected. First was like and now what but kept going.

This is Harry from Spongebob Squarepants. Entertaining mechanics, I'm stuck. The level design of the restaurant is calculated to the smallest detail. I really liked the game.

I like the game, the graphics looking good. There are some bugs left and it could have a little more tutorial. But overall a good game!

Cool game

The frog painting is my favorite. the visuals in general are great. I think the premise is hilarious, how you dug up or remembered a random reddit post for inspiration is quite funny. Physics games in general are hard to balance, but I think you pulled it off pretty well!

I really liked the concept of this game, this polished could do a great title!

Assets look great and I love the idea. Not sure what the "inevitable" is here as it's pretty easy to avoid Gary forever, but all in all a good game!

The idea is cool, but the execution less so. Sloppy controls, high mouse sensitivity, a bit hard to figure out how to play at first. It took me a while to figure out I was the chef. It's a shame you didn't make the snail's audio 3D with how easy that is in Unity. Just one slider. Anyway, with better controls, more thought out orders that get harder over time (but maybe earn you more money), and more polish, this could be cool, which is why I rated you highly on innovation. Cooking games aren't new. I'm sure they've done FPS cooking games before too. However, this snail element in combination with the rest of it really makes it unique. Hardly anybody is going to play this version for long enough to get to the exit, though. Especially since it's so easy to die and have to restart. The graphics were generally good, but the snail is pretty rough and most models are not animated. I know it's a game jam and everything, but it still affected the feel of the game. The models feel like they were done from photo references, which is a good technique. Good job, but work on polish, the big picture of progression, and finding the fun.

Love the concept, and the snail design, though I think it would be funny if it was a lot smaller so you have to keep looking down at the floor to keep track of it. Also, the French cuisine seems very authentic -- boiled frog with a side of cigarettes. =D

It's so funny that it's based on a 5 year old reddit post. This game has nice graphics and I like that you have a complete kitchen and prepare food.

I really like the idea of this and the visual style is nice. The posters are fun and the bell easter egg got a laugh out of me. Gameplay wise, I had no idea what to do for ages even after seeing and making orders. I think i would rather a box or mat to place items on as the sweet spot isn't visible.

Controls seem good, cooking is great! The snail I would maybe make follow the path the player takes as it got in the way of the desk a lot.

I would like to see more on this! It has a nice charm! Nicely done!

Someone on my team suggested doing something based on that reddit post during brainstorming! I'm glad you ended up doing it, it was fun to see it in action, and I think you did a great job with the setting choice. The snail and trail graphics were great, and the way the trail slowed you down was a nice mechanic choice. The controls were pretty intuitive.

A few points of critique:
- Trying to place objects on the surface in front of you would sometimes result in them warping through the surface (goodbye forever, toast), raycasting from the player to determine the held object location would prevent that
- It took me too long to figure out where the orders were listed. I was probably just being an idiot, but if they stood out more it would be more idiot-proof.
- It would be nice to be able to click into the baskets to pick up objects in addition to the current system of clicking on the floating version above the basket.
- The goal seemed a bit pricy for a jam game. I didn't make it all the way to 50k.
- My first time playing I bought some bread while figuring out the game, and then realized that since every order had at least $1000 in material costs, I had lost.
