Excellent voice acting. Sometimes I just kill my pieces to hear a good "Urk!"

Interesting game! The sounds are great and it looks good! I love chess and enjoy seeing any variations on the game!

I was a little sad when I couldn't promote to a queen or castle but totally understandable in a game jam setting.

Never thought of the chess game to be this fun :D Didn't quite get the diamond mechanic, but those overpowered pieces were great! Like the idea

Oh, now I understand why they say that AI is an existential threat to humanity :) GG!

@Gummibot thanks!

The diamonds are powerups you can get for the piece that lands on them. +1 attack, +1 health, +1 movement, or spawn a new random piece. They are definitely hampered by lacking visual difference and no feedback (larger message, audio cue). However, if you hover over them you should see the type of buff you'll get.

I survived 41 turns. He had no king, but still did not lose :(.

Neat idea, and well implemented! When pieces upgraded, it would have been nice to get a little more feedback on that, I think attacked someone who had a block or something and nothing went as I expected after that ^_^.

I survived 64 turns, the ai always spawn more pieces when just one remains. I though i could beat it :)

64 turns lasted my game. At one point I thought I was winning XDD (before the reinforcements arrived).

When I saw the first movements of my rival I thought I could win this. How wrong I was :grin:

The audio is really a good complement to the game.

64 turns myself, could have lasted a bit longer. I didn't think that the opposition needed to be boosted up making it impossible to defeat in a single turn, just an endless supply of re-enforcements would have been sufficient enough as eventually your board position should probably break down. You can ramp up the re-enforcements by increasing the number or utility of the units as time goes on (say by eventually only spawning queens and knights). Overall really quite fun and would like a see a more polished version of the game.
