Great work on those shaders! I couldn't go back to the initial hub, I keep getting game over, did I miss something?

I liked especially your shaders! I wasn't able to kill more than 3 tax agents, looks like I'm to bad

@legolula Thank you! The retry should take the player back to the hub. I will change the text in an update tonight to be more descriptive.

@thedevatlas I'll give it another go then, I thought I died and the game restarted

Ah, after reading comments, it is much more clear. I was still trying to find out what I did wrong.

I like the overall idea of the game. Monsters reminded me Flubber with Robin Williams and the agent looked pleasant. :)

Overall, this game was pretty funny. Made a laugh a couple of times

lol, not a bad submission! using that shader to represent enemy HP was a good idea. however i found the diagonal text on the walls a bit hard to read. all the movements were also very slow i thought and the progression took a while too. also red gems don't yield money? :( or maybe i missed something.

anyway sorry about lots of critique lol, its a cool game :)

@alexhoratio Good points. The red gem was supposed to yield bonus time, I just fixed the bug and itch is reuploading now (Value defaulted to the lootMult which is zero at the start, I upped it by one).

The title gameover misled me. I didn't understand that the money stay after come back to the main place.

I like the item purchase system, no menu, everything is in the game.

The enemy shaders are indeed nice! I didn't like the tutorial text on the walls and there was no feedback on the amount of money I have

Too many time buffs. I had to suicide myself for a long time before I could go back to the main hub. Reduce that or increase enemy speed or spawn rate over time and then would be more challenging. Otherwise good.

I really love how you represent the HP of the enemies using the shaders. I would've played more if there was audio but that can't be helped. Also, I think the game balance is a bit off. I actually have to purposely die so I can go buy upgrades.

I think the core gameplay is fine and the graphics are very well done, but the difficulty is waaaaay too low. Even on the highest setting I could easily outpace any damage I took. I think reducing the time the red gems give from 10s to just 1s could make each round end much quicker

Oh man, the loot multiplier is overpowered! It's pretty crazy to go from struggling to collect 100 gems to accidentally earning tens of thousands of them. I figured at some point I'd lose some of it, but as far as I can tell, you get to keep it all. I know this would be a pretty substantial change, but it'd be neat if part of the challenge would be buying upgrades in the midst of combat. Also, I got a kick out of some of the writing. Cool game.

It's always to have upgrades to purchase! Also, good idea to use your shader to show the health of the enemies. The challenge could be higher though, and more punchy shooting effects would help to feel your power going up!

the way agents decay is cool, I like the physics of the chairs and the table.

It's a shame to have to die to return to the lobby

Good job
