made by usernam_e for Ludum Dare 50 (COMPO)

can not believe i actually finished. I had a bigger plan for the game, which i'm glad i didn't go for because i barely finished this one. i started making the bomb tower of the game in the last hour, surprised i actually finished it.Screenshot 2022-04-03 210553.png

Windows build works on Linux with Wine. Also I looked at the source code >:)

Reminds me of something I'd find on scratch. Also pretty sure it's possible to never lose once you get enough stuff. But good stuff man, doing the compo in something besides Unity is not easy!

Great job! I like how crazy it gets once you have stuff blowing up and tons of hands coming your way. Took me a while to figure out that I could build and upgrade stuff, and that added a nice little twist when I finally discovered it. I agree with the earlier comment about balance issues, but balance is always hard when you have so little time. The game is fun and chaotic. Way to go!

Nice job. The game is pretty fun with the very simple but surprisingly engaging gameplay. I like that you can buy upgrades to assist with keeping the hands away. I think that the game is very easy though, with the high HP and the very overpowered items. It is impressive that you made it from scratch with C/C++.

didn't feel very inevitable at this point :) ![bombs!.png](///raw/0b5/z/4cea3.png)
needs some balancing but otherwise it's great fun!

I couldn't play it as the resolution was off the screen and I couldn't get it adjusted.

This has the seed of a great cookie clicker like idle game. Obviously, and you mentioned being pressed for time, some more upgrades and more balancing would be awesome. I actually think the graphics work really well. They are consistent which is more important than disjointed high-end graphics. Thanks for sharing your work!

Hilarious, and actually really fun for the short bursts you play a jam game. The placing was a little confusing at times (like, sometimes I click, and it places or upgrades, but sometimes it doesn't? I might just be dumb). Overall a real cool little showing. Thanks!

Incredibly relatable, this is how I feel any time I have an incoming phone call. Simple but fun, I do wish there was sound to go along with it even if it was just a satisfying SMACK! when you swat those grubby hands away from your phone, however it's understandable under a time crunch.

Hello and greetings from the land of reasonably-sized monitors and laptop screens! Please note that a good **[30% of users](https://gs.statcounter.com/screen-resolution-stats/desktop/worldwide) worldwide** have a resolution of 1440x900 or less, making your game window too large to fit on screen at once.

Love the programmer art! The game is pretty easy once you get a few towers down, but it has a lot of character. I have no idea who these people are, why they have robots for hands, and why they're so intent on touching my phone, but I'm glad I could dissuade them for the time being. Glad you managed to submit something playable even if you didn't get to everything you wanted to!

After placing many of those spinny-slappy machines you kinda gets to a point that you cannot lose.
Very cool art! I don't know if its wine (am on linux) or there is no sound, could use some sound.
Congrats on finishing :)

Nice little game! My only suggestions would be: adding some sound effects and adding more and more HP on all hands with time. Good job.
