Corridors by Ghost_Wave
Game description:
As you wake up, you find yourself in a strange place... "endless corridors" you mutter to yourself. Dim lights, humid walls, and, as if that weren't enough, it seems you're not alone.
Hurry, stand up, grab your rifle and try to delay your inevitable doom!
Dev note:
Didn't have a lot of time to make this as I was only available on Sunday (so only 24h). I hope you still enjoy the game, I could have pushed it a bit further but I'm still happy with where it's at.
This is actually my first time trying to make a 3D game, I learned blender last month (you can find my beginner donut hidden somewhere).
I actually started by working on the music, I like it a lot even if it's very messy. Textures are just from pictures of random objects in my apartment.
What took the most amount of time was setting up the monster behaviour. Modelling and animating as I'm a noob in this area. and polishing the player controller.

I have delay the inevitable i think ! Impressive for only 24 hours, the mood particulary, the usage of sounds and music, and the lights too.
You made a very good job, that's a good start for an horror FPS with more developping time.
One bug I found mainly was I think sometimes with the spawning and pathing of the enemy - It happened like twice where the enemy was following my path, but I was basically behind the enemy and therefore no consequences as I could just casually walk behind him without any issue as he only kept going forward.
Although this is something I personally found a little tiring was having to launch the application every time the monster caught me! Would have preferred having a main screen you are taken back to once you are caught instead of just closing the program!
Overall a great work which I really enjoyed playing! Keep up the wonderful work
I agree with you, I should've made the monster more aggressive. The game can be a bit slow at times.
@robowarrior1982
Haha, the monster will teleport away when you shoot it too many times. It will still get you eventually thought. He can turn off lights as well as time progresses.
@danashrulez Thank you so much for your feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed the game. I agree that it's annoying having to relaunch the application every time you die, I just didn't have time to make a main menu. About the exploit of just following the monster around, I wish I had made him able to turn around lol...
Thank you guys for playing my game :)
I liked the ambiance a lot, but I wish there were more enemies at the start and that there was less downtime. Also the game crashed once the monster got me. Overall I like the PS1-esque aesthetic, but I was hoping to just mow down hordes of enemies
PS. I saw the donut ;)
Music is great too, but could be made more spooky maybe? It has a slight mismatch with the rest of the game. Perhaps splitting it in two separate tracks would help, one actiony like it is now for when the baddie is chasing you, and the other more ambient for when it's just wandering around while out of sight.
Anyway, it's a minor point, it's still an excellent experience!
That said the music IS great though. Nice job for 3d modeling and animating everything, even using your own textures.
It took me a while to find the monster, I wasn't sure if there was going to be anything to shoot (I'll be honest I didn't read the description before playing) so I just wandered around for a while and had a bit of a jump scare when it did appear.
One thing I noticed is it feels like the player is a `RigidBody` with acceleration and a sort of weightiness and momentum, which is cool if you're going for realism. For game feel I tend to prefer `KinematicBody` driven player with instantaneous movement - while less realistic it just feels a bit more like the controls are connected with the player. Also I noticed the gun starts shaking when you aim down sights while running, that might be related to the physics especially if the gun is a child of the player.
I love the dolly zoom effect while sprinting, that's a nice touch. Nice work!
