Anyway, the game is fun and it feels great to shoot the zombies. The shooter mechanics work well and I think the basic game loop of feeding the fire and fighting baddies is a fun idea. I did feel like there was a bit of a lack of direction though--at some point the zombies stopped coming and I had to go out into the woods to find them, which felt a bit odd. I also was a bit confused by the inclusion of the pistol since it felt like the rifle was just better in general and my ammo was unlimited.
Still, I had a good time shooting zombies and I thought it was fun entry, so great job!
essentially we just ran out of time, we wanted to add ammo, reloading, etc...
Glad you thought it was fun though!
Thanks
Nice entery !
I still like it tho
Wasn't sure why i would want to use the pistol over the rifle.
I was able to deposit wood from any distance by pressing E, that may be a bug.
For some reason the zombies were incessantly chasing me on my first run but left me alone for minutes on the second run, it made me wonder if there is an element of stealth I didn't know about?
I agree with a lot of what you have all said and would love for you to retry the game, I made some adjustments to the aiming, the enemy spawning, and optimizations it should (hopefully) feel a lot better now!
My poor laptop struggled a bit with the graphics, but I'm not sure if that made it easier or harder.
Totally didn't notice the fire first time I spawned and I was like "What am I supposed to do with all this wood" and then I froze to death. Oops.
Ended up calling it quits around the 10 minute mark after figuring out I could just run around hitting the trees for one strike each and all the zombies would just pack into one giant conga line that was easy to avoid - but this was a great little gameplay loop. Had some framerate issues but nothing game breaking.
Excellent stuff!
The game could use some polishing (like most jam games :D ) but it was fun. Thanks!
Otherwise, a nice entry. Good job!

The audio, visuals and mood were thoroughly enjoyable. I think the fireplace mechanic could have used a bit more work. I died because the fireplace went out, but I think that should have had some type of "warmth mechanic" so that you wouldn't just die when the fire dies, but you would have needed to stay by the fire to keep warm. I'm also not sure where and how to get the firewood, so that's on me as well.
Like @conroy said, my game and yours are somewhat each others 2D and 3D counterparts. Oh, and your fireplace mechanic reminds me of another older LD entry of mine.
