Bump In The Night by cicero.gamedev
Good evening, jammers. How are you?
In Bump In The Night, you take control of a cute monst- Err I mean, frightening monster, that aims to scare a child who is about to sleep in his room.
The game mechanics are simple: the monster interacts with some objects in the room to create an element of suspense before his "big scare". The child is about to sleep, so, with every second, the child gets closer to a deep sleep - where it'll impossible to wake them up with a scare.
We have a final score at the end of the level based on the player's performance. So the more objects you can use before the big scare, the higher your score becomes. Furthermore, the more powerful is the scare, the greater is the received "bonus multiplier." Scares where the cursor is at 80% to 89% in the sleep-meter do not receive bonuses. 90% to 94% adds a bonus of 2x, while 95% to 99% adds a bonus of 4x. And to get the biggest score you can try to get the cursor to 100% of the scare meter, which will give you an 8x multiplier! It may seem a daunting task, but we guarantee that it is possible.
For players who achieve the best performance, we've included a little surprise in the game that is... Interesting ~
Play, give your opinions, and we hope you enjoy it immensely!
