Wolverados - The Good, The Bad and the Lupine! by jhrrsn

Wolverados is a game about running through the desert with wolves.

Search out caves to find lonesome wolves to join your pack, grow your strength by munching on villagers in frontier towns, and avoid dangerous marshals who'll try and shoot at your cubs.

The map and towns are randomly generated every time you play, which would be amazing (!) if there was more to do... As it stands, you can run around (using the arrow keys or WASD) and watch in amazement as your pack follows along with you. Then maybe you could lead them to a town, and make them stronger by letting them chase down its inhabitants. OH! And if you press H, you will howl - which is clearly the most important feature.

We had fun making this, even if it didn't quite live up to our lofty expectations! We are:

We hope you'll get a laugh out of our jam :)

Your mood is fantastic. I dig the the use of music and sounds to make you feel like you're out in the wild.

Like just about everything about it. Like you said, if only there was more things to do. Great work though!

Liked the mood a lot. Music is nice and the gameplay while confusing in the beginning (why are all my fellow wolves so tiny compared to me? Didn't recognize them as wolves first) is soething fresh.
I liked that you can howl. If you can't howl you're not a wolve right?
Would be nice to have some kind of goal, and if the 'combat' would somehow challneging and require you to actually do something. Other than that neat game.

It's a good start! It was fun to run around with a huge crowd of 50 wolves. I did find it easy to get lost though, with the first map I played being mostly empty> The wolves had a tendency to get stuck behind buildings. The audio really works well, though!

I pressed A/E and the camera was either very far or very close making it hard to play and I didn't find a way to set it back to normal.

Also you should not include pdb files (debug files) as they are twice the size of the game and don't serve any purpose to the user.

It looks and sounds great but there isn't really anything to do.

Nice take on the theme and fantastic mood (howling!). I find difficult to find myself in the map, the reference points are sparse and screen limits are invisible. Still, the feeling of being the leader of a wolf herd is really nice. With some extra additions (i.e. attack button for the leader, regroup, hunt other animals for food), it can become a nice sandbox :). Good job!

Nice howling/music! Could see the skybox or some such from the edge of the map on the left once. Liked the group following dynamics

The audio was great. Wish there were more things to do though. And a minimap.
