I really like how the story ties into the gameplay elements. This game really makes you appreciate lunch breaks lol. Great job!

Haha this was really unique and fun! I wouldn't have thought I'd enjoy shoveling coal for fun!

Loved the cutscenes and voice acting too, that really added to the whole experience.

I tried three times, and the reactor detonated each time. I only made it to the 3rd robot going on break. I thought I had a good system, but it seems like the different reactors burn at different rates. Anyway, nice work making loss feel inevitable. I've never had more fun hauling fuel to reactors!

@defrag Thanks! Although, the reactor burning seems like something that shouldn't happen. Every reactor is losing power at the same 1.1 second rate. It could just be their distance from the coal in the middle! Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed your stay at PlantBad CO.

This was a lot of fun to play. You did a good job on the mood of the factory. One area that could have been better was that all the machines take about the same time drop down so I eventually realized all I had to do was feed the reactors in a circular motion. Good Job!

I can tell you worked hard on this! It feels very complete.

I enjoyed the newspaper ending, and finding all three of the different endings was fun :)

I will say, I know part of the point is that you're doing mundane tasks, but once I was the only robot left and I had to just keep running to the coal pile and placing one in every single reactor over and over again, it got pretty boring...I think in terms of the gameplay, something different should have been done (maybe there is a second or third kind of task for each different reactor).

The story was great though, and I loved the humor you put into the game.

Great work!

@gamedevalexandr Thanks for playing! I should've spent a bit more time on the tutorial, thanks for the feedback!

@m11 Glad you enjoyed the little story of the AI takeover!

@jordan-pavlic Thanks for the feedback! I agree, i should've worked a bit more on the games main concept. I appreciate your comment!

@xenosns Glad to hear you enjoyed it! I have no clue whats causing that issue, i had my friends test it and a couple of them reported that issue and some of them didnt. Its apparently something to do with the UnityPlayer Web extension.

@agrimes Thanks for your comment! Im glad to hear not everybody is facing the mouse issue in the WebGL version!

@william-corrin Thanks for that very in-depth comment! I totally agree with your statements and i will try to improve of your feedback!

I will play everyones submissions when i get home, Thank you everyone for playing! Hope you enjoyed your time at PlantBad CO.

Gameplay is smooth, but it was a bit difficult for me to know where the priority is. The animation at the end made me laugh, I liked the newspaper too. Well done

Nice idea and realisation. I liked gameplay and of course extra-super-duper-secret ending.

Great polish for a 48h game! You even had time for some Easter eggs :) The web version worked well for me.

Very polished, love the VO and story elements here. I love how the theme is employed here, and that in both a win state and loss state, the inevitable event occurs. Really well done.

@anonymouspanda If thats the case then I have achieved what i strived for. It was meant to be difficult and have a dumb ending. :)

@algebruh Thank you! Yes, the super-secret ending is indeed the coolest part! (i love your name btw. AlgeBRUH lmao)

@flightless Glad to hear the WebGL version works for some people! I couldn't get the mouse jittering to stop, and most of my testers reported the issue so i put up a warning just in case, but I'm happy to hear not everyone is facing this issue!

@jonah-srg Thanks for playing! The voice over was a thing i wanted to do since the begining because i never did a good job at sound design in any of my games before. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Thanks for playing everyone! Hope you had fun at PlantBad CO.

I also had no problem with web version. Nicely done tutorial, voice-over and story. I got a few good laughs out of this while playing. Doing the same task over wasn't that fun, but as the end was reached in 150s, there was no problem with that.

@frankey333 Thanks for playing! I'm glad you haad no problem with the WebGL version. The monotone gameplay was done on purpose to simulate what working in a factory would be like in my opinion.

@aniki-ta Glad you enjoyed it!

@akos Thank you!

@dancsoaron I'am indeed Hungarian! Glad you enjoyed the game!

Thank you everyone for playing! I hope you enjoyed working at PlantBad CO.

Are 3rd party sound assets allowed in the compo rules?
🎤 KewDev
21. Apr 2022 · 13:12 UTC
@christian-zommerfelds Although i took some sound effects from third party sites, most of them are heavily mixed into something different, anyways I wrote a notice in the game's description, and during the compo submission time, took the game out of the "sound / music" category for that reason. You're right the compo rules state "Your game, all your content (i.e. Art, Music, Sound, etc) must be created in 48 hours." which i might've overlooked at the time of choosing the game's category. On the other hand though, on the game submission site, where you can choose to opt-out of categories, it states "Opt-out of categories here if you and your team didn't make all your graphics, audio, or music during the event. Many participants are making original graphics, audio and music from scratch during the event. As a courtesy, we ask you to opt-out if you didn't do the same" Which led me to believe if i opt-out, it would still count as a compo game. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused. I have changed the game's category to EXTRA.

Hey KewDev, didn't mean to police around, was more curious about it. It's the first time I participate and I was wondering why using a tool like sfxr is much different than a public sample found online (with sfxr you also get a full free sounds in a few clicks without doing much). IMO it's totally OK if you mixed the sound into something different. But I don't set the rules :)

@christian-zommerfelds Upon re-reading the rules, i gotta say i wish it was made a bit clearer. I'm still not sure if its allowed or not because the rules say everything has to be yours, but the submission says if something is not yours you just have to opt-out of the category and opting out of categories is available in compos aswell. Because I'm no expert in Ludum Dares (this was only my third submission) in case anyone would consider this unfair I changed game's type to Extra. Until the next LD I'm going to ask around to see if using external sources are allowed if opting out of that category or not.
