A cautionary tale about what is important in life and what is not.image_2.png

A Few hints: - Warm memories can help us hold on a little longer before the inevitable. - If you stuck at the Turntable mini-game: try to get as clear tune as possible and you will remember something... - If you stuck at the 3rd album photo mini-game: try to focus on the clearest image possible.

Music is soothing, art is great. Thank you for lack of anxiety. I think, that was a chaste experience.
Wanna see more games like this in our world.
After the positive end I get the negative one.

Sad emotinal short story. A bit buggy such as the TV not working and both credits music and normal music playing at once. But still that final image with the daugther hugging the dad was very beutiful, i got it on my 3rd try!

As a concept, fantastic - the piano music was a perfect fit, and the whole scene captured a moment/mood really well. It wasn't clear what exactly I should be doing (except killing time before... the inevitable), but a strong kernel of an idea that could tell a great story.

Gameplay is a little meh, but what you did succeed at is the atmosphere. The mood is set really well, it's paired with the music great, the art is very pretty if a little somber. All in all the mood/atmosphere is great. Amazing job!

I thiiiiink this is the first time that a jam game has ever made me cry? Kudos. The art and music are so beautiful, the animation is great... f*** this was depressing. Great work.

Well that was powerful... I played it a few times to see if I could change the outcome. I did get a few errors ping up as I played (in a dev console). The art was fantastic and on top of that I was impressed how well you animated the movement of the father. Would like to know how you made the transitions of the facing directions so smooth? Well done :)

I recorded myself playing, message me on the Jam’s discord @ Dark Peace and I’ll send it to you. This was so great. I loved it ! The photo album was a good idea too. And the music was neat.

The mood is real here! Graphics is probably among the best on this Jam, as to me! The concept is prize-winning, but I lacked a bit the direction. I simply went here and there, but could not tell if I could be doing anything more sensible?

@pete-valeo Thank you for the feedback. Interestingly, you are right about "killing time" activities, but there are some actions in the game that will help you last a little longer and see a different outcome.

@olguinne Funny how your comment fits perfectly with the description of life in general :) But you're on the right track - some of the activities in the game are more sensible than the others and can help you delay the inevitable.

It was a very touchy story with a meaningful choices. Loved the graphics and style of the game. Also It was a good idea to add mini games to improve gameplay. Overall it was a really moody and atmospheric project. Thank you for the story

Грустная игра. Но визуально оформлена великолепно, дополнена хорошим саундом. Автор пытался создать эмоцию и у него это получилось сделать мастерски!

I'm not crying :'| Really loved the game, despite being really sad. I liked the mechanics a lot. Reminds of the game Florence. Lovely game, great work

Really fluent and touching game experience. I love all those mini game and the moving cutscene. Really nice work in this short amount of time. Also the animation of the elder moving is very nicely done.

The graphics are simply gorgeous... But the gameplay... It all feels viscous. You don't understand after the mini-games: "Did it really give something?"or "Why isn't it pressed?" or "Why is fade here?" or "Why is the screen black and only the exit button to the main menu", etc. Everything is very intuitive from a technical point of view. Even all sorts of overlays of music also ruined the atmosphere - in general, personally, I will not be able to immerse myself in the atmosphere.

@levi Thank you! Our artist drew a sequence of character positions, from which we created a Unity-animation. The key point here is having a lot of these positions (we had six).

Very beautiful atmosphere driven by the art, music, and story. As someone who has lost his father, this entry really resonated with me unlike any other. I admire your effort to tackle serious themes in a game jam, you did a great job.

Really nice art and music ! It's a shame that it cuts abruptly when starting a "minigame" though, it takes you out of the experience a bit. Also using another font would give more personality to the texts, especially since it's the first thing you see in this game

One of the best, most innovative and creative takes I've seen so far! Really enjoyed the mood created by the perfect OST and artwork. The intro cutscene was also quite good in setting up the story without giving away the game to the player. Good job!

Perfect graphics and audio, definitely one of the best on this jam (that I've encountered so far).

The mood is really powerful as well, I almost shed a tear at the good ending.

I didn't like that the gameplay itself was a little clunky, it felt a bit unfinished. For example, I didn't see the lamp do anything meaningful. I guess the point is that some actions don't really help you, but I'd still like the game to give me some feedback on that.

The second time I played, knowing what happens if I fail, I wanted to grab the jacket to go and find my (I mean, his) daughter and was surprised that it wasn't possible. I thought I needed to unlock something first by interacting with the other items, and after that I would go and grab that jacket (this didn't happen).

Another thing I noticed - I think the cursor was a bit shifted when I was dusting off the photographs.

Apart from these minor issues, however, this has been a great experience, thank you for it!

Nice game and kind of sad too, but i guess thats the intention. My dad recently passed away so it was kind of a hard take. But the message at the end is really nice.

I loved the little minigames, and the artwork is really a blast. Chilling and emotional game, keep up the good work!

Good game. Loved the theme, art and sound are on point. Even though mini games are quite easy, it's impressive, how many of them you have managed to fit in. I wish the text speed in the starting cutscene was a little faster though. Overall great entry, good job!

I wasn't expecting that. Really lovely, charming, and emotional story and concept. Enjoyed the sound of things a lot as well; things generally felt nice and responsive. Also, something about the animation of him walking and his hand shaking really sold it to me.

Felt some of the minigames could use a bit more of a hint as to what you were supposed to do, namely the picture you had to focus and the turntable. There was also a bit of an issue with the music loop where you could hear an audible fade in, but I'm oversensitive to that sort of thing. Overall, really sensitively and well put together.

Super polished and overall an amazing experience!
I see a lot of work done here and you've managed to deliver an emotional piece of art.
I only wished to be able to play the chess for a bit more

Great job guys!
