Tax Evaders by Carlos Murillo
Evade taxes for as long as possible while government agents chase you down!
Embezzle funds from your company during the day, the more you embezzle, the more "heat" you will attract!
During the night, alter evidence to lower your "heat" while government agents hunt you down. Avoid them, place traps, and hide in plants and tables in order to reach the end of the night.
If your heat goes too high, go to jail, and remember that justice is inevitable...

**If you don't click the slider and move it during the day, you get $0000 for that round, but still gain heat :anguished: **
# Review
Good game, totally works out of the box, and I enjoyed my first playthrough. Was there supposed to be audio? cause I had none...
The agents are very dumb, until they're very scary. Didn't push the bush too hard, but can I just hide forever???
Not that inevitable: from what I can tell, go find a printer and revert back to zero if you stay in the low heat by day. I mean, couldn't I just select $0 and have 0 heat?
# Further Ideas
I'd like to see like Level 2+ agents, and possibly bribing my way to higher offices (levels), and some sort of "health bar" for hiding, if that is implemented.
Very nice game, overall!

@proxy-games Yeah haha, this was the first time I implemented a stealth system like this, there's a million things I want to tweak with the enemy AI. Definitely going to polish this up as a postjam game!
@exevirus Thanks for the PSA and suggestions. I will definitely consider all of this when I touch upon this game more postjam.
For your hiding point, you could hide forever, but we tried to discourage that by making finding the printer to reduce your heat the objective for each night.
For your inevitability point, the inevitability factor is the reason why picking 0 dollars still gives you heat, we wanted to encourage the player to pick a number, and also to inevitably lose down the line. Another point related to inevitability we did discuss was "should finding a printer net you positive or zero heat"? Net zero heat is how it's currently implemented (whatever heat you pick during the day is what you get back if you find a printer) because it was simpler to implement during the jam and also we wanted a player to potentially go the distance if they are skilled.
I think though, upon reflecting on your comments, that either net positive may be the way to go, or find a better way for the player to feel the inevitability of his demise. Definitely something I'm going to think upon at length when I polish this up later on, thank you for your suggestions!
Thanks to everyone else for the feedback, I'll be sure to play all of your games when I can!
The game lacks many things tough, some UI, some sprites for the characters, a real progression... the pace is also a bit too slow.
Execution didn't feel quite as smooth. I had a hard time figuring out exactly how to follow the directions. Also, the agents were able to find me even when I was safely hidden away in a hiding spot.
I wish there was some music just for mood. I feel that would have added a ton to the feeling of playing.
