MonsterMystery by ShadowBrain

[raw]
made by ShadowBrain for LD33 (JAM)
I spent too much time making systems work, I learned that point and click games are pretty hard to make in just 26 hours- I spent 26 actual hours on this out of the 72 hours I had.

I hope you can enjoy it for what it is though! Everything is mouse controlled.

Examining the hotdog made me chuckle, nailed it with the theme, fun and humour.

Not sure if it was me doing something silly, but it seemed to take several clicks to break out of the text/convo mode, which was a bit jarring.

Wow! An actual 3D point and click game! Well done for something made in 26 hours! I just wish the dialogues could be manually dismissed somehow after reading them.

Nice! it may be one of the firsts 3d point and click i found here, that's original!
I was quite frustrated at first because i was playing fullscreen, and collisions were not matching with the mouse coordonates... Then i switched to windowed mode and it was fine ! Nice work with the camera and animations, it almost felt like a Telltale game !
Was it the GreenHand of Fate ?
Good start :)

Really nice game! The art style is really cool. had some issues with the camera clipping and difficulty turning corners.

I couldn't make it work properly on my laptop, it was super slow and camra got stucked in bad position when looked at the hot dog so I couldn't click anywhere anymore to move away.

But I like the art

Looked really good. Impresssive how you managed to model, rig and animate all the characters! Good job!

I've seen a lot of bugs that make the game hilarious! First, when I played in full screen, it seems the pointer wasn't where it was displayed so the walking mechanics was TERRIBLE (and terribly funny), then, when I crouched to see the corpse, I remained crouched for the rest of the game and was like sliding on my knee, so cool! I know this is probably not made on purpose but that deserves a 5 in humor, I laughed for real.
Also, the graphics are lovely

Haha Pierrec, I saw the sliding bug once too, I thought I had it covered but apparently not! Lots of systems working together, not very well it seems.
Glad you had fun though, that's what I was aiming for :)

Very promising game engine here.
Good job on that one. I wish you have more time than these 26 hours ;) I'm looking forward a longer version in the future maybe.

Awesome. I wished chief made you eat something from ground. So hotdog thing would be a foreshadowing. Add this please if you happen to make another endings. Good job on doing a LA Noire prototype in 26 hours!

Loved how the player walks up to people to talk. Text stays up way to long yes, manual dismis would be nice. Overall art looks pretty good.

Interesting idea. Liked the art and the camera work. Got stuck in a few places due to camera not moving to a better location and found the sliding bug others brought up. Love the point and click nature of the game. Great job!

The speed at which the camera changes angles could be a bit smoother (at times it's too fast and jarring) but I loved the models you've made for the game and the story was very engaging.

You did a lot in such a short time, worked pretty well on android too. Reminded me of LA noir, loved the item exam mechanic. Some of the camera pans were a little awkward but a great job

Loved the mood and the graphics! Well done, controls are a bit sticky but for something made in 26 hours is more than amazing.

Ah yes! I saw your gifs from this earlier in twitter and finally got here to try this. Your camera system is so nice. Gives the environment and gameplay really unique feel.
