Overview

I laughed out loud in the beginning and I like the concept, just wish the game was taken a *little* further. By that I mean the gameplay is very standard and could've used another element or 2 to keep me more engaged. The graphics are really good with the models, super simple menu/UI, and steam coming from the pie so good job there.

Another creative idea that sees the theme in a different way, congratulations! The music and the 3D models really matched, and the gameplay was super fluid (the jetpack was an element that worked very well, and gave the funny tone)

I believe that two things could improve the user experience

-A local scoreboard for us to try to beat our score (or show how long we survived in the end)

A "danger" indication when a hand is within seconds of picking up a piece.

GET YO HANDS OUT MY PIE. Very funny concept, I particularly enjoyed the jetpack. Someone thought, this game needs a jet pack - and they were right.

Animations would possibly be a small upgrade. Or simple tweens.

Amazing art for a jam game, for constructive criticism I agree that animations would be nice, the models look so good it's a little uncanny if they don't move, also more enemy varieties would help the repetitive nature

I am still learning how to rig and animate characters, I tried to do some stuff, but blender just didn't help me to export it properly in time xD Thanks guys!

We had a bit of a rough patch here and there, but it was really enjoyable even while having to let go of some things we wanted for the game. Thanks everyone for the feedback and keep it coming!

Really cool cell shading going on. Enjoyed the graphics. The one thing that got was a bit frustrating is how long the timer seemed to be and since not much was changing it became quite slow.

Otherwise seems like a cool game and a really interesting idea, kudos and thanks for uploading!

I love the concept and the graphics, great take on the theme too. The mood is great and everything works well towards that. I just wish there was some indicator of where the mouse is and more visual feedback to show how far the grandma can attack. Took me a bit to realize its a radius around the grandma instead of just directly in front of her.

Great concept for a game. Models look good. Importing animations into UE or Unity is always a headache. The game looks and performs good you should be proud <3

Hello! The game is pretty fun but it lacks of animation.

THis was a pretty great game. THe interpretation of the theme is excellent.
After 5 tressful minutes I fear the cake would be so full of bacteria that noone wants to eat it, but still I feel betrayed that there is no coffe & cake graphics, telling you how well you did.

really good should add some animation for the icing the cake!

Very cute game and unique concept the timer at the top compelled me to keep going so I was a bit disappointed when there was no win screen at the end. Still a pretty fun little game!

Very fun game, controls felt a little wonky, I initially expected the forward key to be the forward direction for granny (when she was facing down I expected to go down when I pressed (W)) but after that the controls were fine one thing I noticed through is at times hands would fall on top of each other or even on granny.

Even though the idea is simple, the execution makes the game very intense! I had a lot of fun just smacking those hands away and even though I felt like the jetpack did not make a very big impact on the way i played, it did save me a few times. The graphics were neat, but having the hands animated would add to the experience. My biggest issue with the game was the timer, I completed the game on my first try and was kinda disappointed over the difficulty scaling. I think just making the hands spawn more frequent until the player is caught out of place or can't keep up would make for a more rewarding experience. Overall great work :)


This is the second game I have played featuring an angry grandma this jam. Only here, grandma is like, "You can catch *these* hands" ..

I would say that this is my favourite game from all games on Ludum))) I like the theme (who wouldn't? It's an APPLE PIE!) Grafics is very nice, sound is pretty pleasant. And, of course, the whole mechanic is fun) Very clever realisatiion (with this bars above the hands, grandma's jet and waves of 'enemys'.
It would be great to see this as released game with some progression, variety of hands (maybe with shields or larger and smaller variations etc.), pies, 'weapons'...
Also it would be great to have some extended UI with timer indicating waves of enemys, and tips like 'press this key to use jet (it looks a little bit like chair so it is not obviouse from the first glance that you can use it).
But overall you did a really great job, fellow Unreal users! Keep going!

One of the hands landed on the grandma and she was pinned in place, pretty scary. Simple, short, and sweet as pie.

well made (both the game and the pie) Really nice graphics, the gameplay is quite effective, would have like more option for slapping hands, or different kind of enemies, but it's the limit of jam games I suppose. Good job overall!

Really nice graphics ! A pity the controls are only avaible for QWERTY keyboard though... I wish you could have been able to use the arrow keys at the very least
The theme is really nice though ! That grandma is very brave, I wouldn't have had the courage to wait for the pie to cool down myself !
