Sisyphus loop by InfinitiVoid

[raw]
made by InfinitiVoid for Ludum Dare 50 (COMPO)

Player.png When you hear Sisyphus, of what do you think? Of the man, that takes the boulder up the hill? He lost his soul a long time ago, and the Gods were keeping it as treasure.

You got lost in a loop that made you immortal and inserted poison into you. You need to gather 4 resources to make a antidote. But is that all?

I unfortunately couldn't analyze the game, as I didn't understand how to get the resources (from what I understand, they appear randomly). Can you answer and explain to me? So I can do a complete analysis.

Other than that, I loved the music!

Not sure what to do in this game. I think the character move and collect resources automatically, and you can upgrade the frequency of the resource spawn after you die. I think it is a cool concept and you can make it fun by allowing the player interact more during the play phase, like putting the resources on the path manually, and create branching paths for the player to select. Also, there are a few visual bugs, for example the upgrade menu UI is blurred, and sometimes the item text does not go away after you die. Still, it is a cool concept and I like it.

Ok, to answer your both comments. ( @papaya and @very-bad-bunny-studio) I based it on Loop Hero, as I loved the concept of the game. I have noticed that there are some bugs bcs of my dumb ass using scale in unity(this is why its blurred). Also I was thinking of making it that you placed the items like in Loop Hero (wanna correct the game and make it bigger, so stay tuned about that) as I had no experience in making that type of games. I suck at music, but thanks for playing my game!

Hello... I also played your game and I think its fine, the only critique I have is that you can get overpowered pretty quick. So it needs some balancing.
