Welcome to the regime!

You are a dictator struggling to stay in power as long as possible. Do whatever it takes to keep yourself secure in top; Don’t let those protests take control over you and let them know that they actually love you!

Use all kinds of dictatorship tools to fight protesters. Gain some new skills, earn some money for the budget, easy!

But be careful, if protests go too far or your budget come to zero, you will lose.

I love the themeatic element to this game. I managed to delay my regime change by a whole 162 days! I was laughing the whole time. The cards are well written. I wish there was a bit more feedback from each card.

Hilarious dictator-simulator with a positive message about the inevitability of revolution and freedom. My hand went numb from clicking "Print money". 5/5

The graphics and layout remind me of Papers Please. The choices are really cool, and I like how the concept is so simple but still has depth! The mood and audio are great too, the sounds and effects when the protests get really large are a nice touch. Great job!

Great game! The art and music go together very well. I enjoyed playing and being overthrown because I printed too much money.

Nice theme usage, the view of the park from above is really something, very evocative. Well done!

Holy moly i had to much fun playing this! My record was 502 days. The Enforcer cooldown doesnt work allowing me to spam print money and then using Enforcer enough times to kick it back to 0% protesters. Great work and great use of the theme.

So much of this game is so wonderfully done.
That being said, I have to agree with the first comment where I didn't quite get past the button smashing of print money. More options would be nice to really get into the swing of having (temporary) power.
BUT, it's a Ludum Dare game, you only have so much time (just like the dictator).

Well done and thanks for this take on dictatorship overthrow. :D

I don't know how you got 502 days, my record was just over 150! I think a little bit more feedback on your decisions would be nice. A lot of things weren't really felt.

Neat game. (i laughed at "controls: mouse only" and "press space to continue" ) while clicker games are not really my forte, the cleverly written political decision cards hooked me for quite a while.

Really cool idea! Would appreciate some more options to do as a dictator, but I guess that would go out the scope of the jam. I also found it fairly difficult to decrease the size of the crowd, no matter what I did, the crowd seemed to be amassing at the same rate.

Great idea! Such a nice game in such a short time.
I think it'll keep me busy for while. :)

This game fit the theme perfectly. I gave a 5/5 of theme! And nice mechanism. Love the printing money. And the music is gorgeous and really makes me nervous at the end.

I made to 120 days! I liked the simplicity of the gameplay, it was really easy to understand. Though the game was pushing too hard even I made the best choices (I think?) and spammed the hell out of money printer, it felt like it wpuld be impossible to score beyond ~150 days. I wonder if RNG is a big thing in this game. *Maybe I am missing something...*

There is a bug or something with the enforcement card, the cooldown didn't seem to work and it's effectiveness was a bit randomized I think. Sometimes it felt like the card was useless and sometimes it was a game changer, I didn't like how inconsistent it was.

Music getting louder when you are close to losing is a really nice touch! I liked the art and sound effects a lot, really stylized. Use of theme is good and both the humor and the mood is pleasant. Well done!

This was a really interesting idea. I like how the music and yelling of the crowd got more intense as more protesters came. In my opinion this is one of the best strategy games I've played this jam and its also mixed with a clicker game which makes it even more fun. I made it to 234 days by mainly using propaganda and brute force. The only thing I suggest is that you should have the option to choose which item to replace with when you choose an equipable political decision. Nice Game!

Liked it a lot. A few things I would have wanted, like being able to see the day counter, or not having the taxation and money printers be linked to the equippables, but really cool take on it.
