Great work! Really clean UI and a well functioning dialogue system! Very funny - a great investment into the humour category
Great submission!
Always nice to see more narrative works in LD. I do think this might have been improved with some backing audio or art, but that can be hard when you're running solo.
Nice work!
Presentation-wise, a little bit of audio and music would have done a LOT for adding more mood and emotional feel.
Despite being a little bit disappointed that I couldn't find a way to nod along and secretly make the game as intended behind the boss' back (then presumably get fired after it released anyway), I really liked this!
The understated humour made me chuckle and the visuals were nice and relaxing without being overly distracting. I didn't even notice them for a while until there was a particularly hard-to-miss colour change and I stopped for a moment just to watch the pretty circles floating across the screen.
I think a little bit of similarly non-distracting audio would have gone a long way here. Maybe even something a bit corporate, given the theme, like easy-listenin' or muzak--you know, lift music (or stairwell music, depending on your choices in the game). :stuck_out_tongue:
Also, it would have been good to have the character names differentiated from the dialogue in some way. That could have been making them larger, bold or even just all-caps. Fortunately, it didn't cause too much of an issue because of placement, but it would have been a nice extra touch.
Overall, I enjoyed it! Great job!
On a more serious note: some simple background music would've improved the immersion/mood quite a bit :)
Anyway: Good job!
