This game is a scrolling shoot’em up/plane dressup game with a twist. As your ship is old, barely designed for combat and extremely unstable, your parts will fall off after a while. Thankfully, you can replace them by salvaging new parts from the enemies you destroy! But how well will you manage to do that in the heat of combat?!

screenie2.png

Be sure to think about how you build yourself up as unbalanced weight will make movement harder. Having guns on every side may make killing enemies a cakewalk, but comes at the sacrifice of extra speed. In this game you constantly have to make decisions and deal with what you’ve been given!

In addition to providing mobility and offensive capabilities, extra parts will also take hits for you. This is important as your core is quite vulnerable. Three hits and you're out!

And some parts ...just look pretty. Dress your plane up for multiplied score!

Super cute! Thought the game idea was very unique. Wish I had a little more time to dress-up my plane in between waves of enemies.

It was super fun and cute :3 The idea was pretty cool and fun! Just needed a bit more time to add more parts..

Wow, this is so cute! I love that you can "dress" the character up, haha. Really cool entry!

Love this one!! The concept of rebuilding your ship mid battle is super innovative.
My only current critique is that attaching parts to the ship felt a bit weird some times, with pieces not attaching when they should or attaching in the wrong places. Other than that, super solid entry!

What a cool game! Not only is the parts-attaching mechanic fun to see in a shooter like this, the art style is super cute and juicy too. My only minor complaint is that it's tricky to get a part attached sometimes. Really great work here, hope you expand on it!

Very nice game - kudos for the idea and the very good execution. The gameplay flow seems to be well-thought-out (or balanced, eyyy pun intended) as well.
Also great job with the visuals, that river-ish animated background works perfectly with the retro style.

I'd love to see this expanded!

That was great. My only >_< on it is that was really difficult to attach parts even when completely still and it wasn't clear what might or might not be a valid attachment point.

Super fun! I found it quite hard to place the parts while also trying to not get killed. Maybe something like a ship editor in the pause menu could be good? It was also a bit confusing at how to place parts when I first started playing. Overall though really good game!

Pretty cool game! There's a nice variety of parts and shooting/destroying enemies was juicy.

It was a bit hard to get certain parts attached (Specifically wings for me), and it felt a bit awkward trying to attach them while moving. Maybe having a "build" period in between waves could have helped out both issues. Enemies at the beginning felt like they had a bit too much health too, but that's a pretty minor nitpick.

Overall, with some polish I could see this being a turning into a pretty fun full game

I love a good SHMUP! The visuals are cute and I love the enemy designs in the later waves, and the variety of parts you can pick up is great. It's a little tough when you don't get at least some gun parts at the beginning; it feels like the smaller enemies take a lot of hits with the default weapon, but once you're over that initial hump and you have a lot of parts to work with it's not that big of a deal. Fantastic work overall, I'd love to see this expanded!

This is pretty cool! Dig the concept. Also great variety, some of these weapons feel really great and powerful, and you quickly get that feeling of becoming stronger and better, which I always like in these games.

I just wish there was some more time to relax and build your ship - the way it is, it's quite stressful, and in the end I kept dying despite having numerous parts, mostly because one of them (the flat gray one with 2 red lines I think) required such precision to place that I was unable to do so at all, and I also couldn't drop it. Maybe I misunderstood how to use it, but in one session it took me ~15 seconds and like 50 clicks to place it, and in two others it just ended my round as I wasn't able to add anything to my ship. Let me know if I've doing something wrong. :D Seemed to me that I had to hit the exact right pixel, which was seemingly impossible while the ship was shaking and moving around. Otherwise great entry, maybe I'll have another try on another day and see if I can get further.

@very-dark-lord thanks for playing and giving feedback!! you were not doing anything wrong, the system for placing parts just unfortunately ended up a bit awkward and buggy...
also, to drop parts pressing the R key should work

Original entry for this theme, concept is super cool ! Placing your parts on your ship is quite nicely made for a jam, however sometimes you have to pixel perfect it but that's okay. Nothing special to say about art and sound, they fit well with the global mood of the game. Nice entry !

Cool Concept and great execution! The only suggestion for the customization gameplay is that maybe slow down time or even freeze time for the player to put on the new parts.

Really enjoyed this, the character was automatically drifting to the right a little for me, probably something on my end but other than that, this concept and game were great and you guys nailed it. Great job!

Very fun and cute! Trying to equip the parts during is quite chaotic, but I think it is ok as you can take a risk and equip stuff during combat or just wait until the wave is over. The big gun really bangs. It was quite hard to keep a ship maneuverable, but that's also part of the fun and fits the theme nicely. The graphics are great, the sound too. Good job :)!
