:warning: If you start game in fullscreen mode there may be a bug with rendering. To fix this resize your window once.

Gameplay

  • Main goal is to keep shpere stable. You can achieve that dragging and collapsing particles in the sphere.

  • Avoid enemy particles.

  • No stability makes sphere collapse.

  • Sphere is growing when particles are collapsing inside of it.lso you have to keep all particle levels balanced. If there is too much or too little of any particle shpere collapses.

Awesome console game .
I would suggest adding some instructions to be always shown on screen.

Not bad, I was a little confused at times though. You might want to show the screen with the instructions before the user starts playing, rather than having them as another button in the main menu. You might also make the instructions the top button in the menu, so that people don't miss it.

It’s a really nice console game written with your own library, gj!

Nice!
It's refreshing to see a console game. It's a nice technical exploit, congrats.

Nice game (^w^). It tooks me some time to not crash every particle (including the ennemy particle Z :p) into my sphere (^^). I do agree with watermelon in comments that showing part of the instructions in game might help :) (I ended up taking a screenshot of the instructions ^^)

@yohsk13 yeah, you have to get used to the mechanics but you don't actually have to take screenshot, you can just go to the about section in the main menu during the game, and then just return back to it! Progress saves if you go to the main menu ;)

I think it's nice to have "no" instructions given. Kind of feels like the first time I worked with a terminal and had no idea how to do stuff. -> feels "realistic" ;)

Cool idea, nice to see a really different software being used to make the game. I just don't get the controls, there are so many buttons to do few things.

It was rather hard to tell what type of particle I was looking at, and the HUD in the top right was a bit confusing. I think that the concept was super neat, and the approach was 'almost' there, the controls just needed to be a bit more intuitive.

Interesting. I don't really know what I'm doing but I like looking at it.

@abk507 about controls: otherwise it would be too easy to play)

Heya! I really struggled with this one. I think the lack of feedback made it really difficult to know if what I was doing was right or wrong. For some reason, I couldn't increase stability no matter what I did. Maybe I was doing something wrong? In general, the game felt very out of control, partly because of the targeting system, and partly because of the speed and momentum of the particles vs the dragging force. It just felt like a struggle from the beginning. I appreciate the commitment to making a terminal game, but I didn't really enjoy my time with it.

Thanks for the game, best of luck with future dev!

@adamcyounis yes. my game is hard to play, but if there weren't these mechanics ('E' to collapse, losing stability if everything wasn't balanced) game wouldn't be so interactive and fun to play. I really don't like too easy games. there was a lot what I've balanced during development what made game easier to play.

P.S. I've watched your stream and you didn't saw speeding up mechanic which would decrease game hardness dramatically.
