Are you tired of having corrupted files, or no space to store anything? do you want to take your anger out on all the pointless little files that take up distrubing amounts of space on your PC?

This is the game for you!

Hard Drive Homicide is a twin-stick shooter (played with KB+M) where you battle room after room of annoying little files.

There is a mode with an "end" and an endless mode which goes on as long as you can survive.

Collect upgrades on each run to make your player stronger. no limit on max health, so even if you're full, keep on picking up hp any upgrades you miss are put into your character once you complete the room

The game managed to be very cute despite being a shooter.

Gameplay didn't feel very unstable, but good job on creating a fun game nonetheless! :)

@ludokultur yes I admit I took a liberal interpretation of the theme :), glad you enjoyed it though!

Wanted to try your game, but couldn't find an .exe in the downloaded zip from itch?

@dent , hey thanks for the heads up, looks like when I uploaded the linux build I also replaced the windows build. It should be fixed now.

Love it! And the fact that you did it in C is a feat in itself. Very cool (and hard)

Very nice looking game, but I especially like the arcade feel of the mechanics.

I love his kind of games. They remind me of my childhood. I think I will try it later. In general, I am an avid gamer. Therefore I had a hellish three weeks when my computer broke down. The problem was in the hard disk and I turned to the [hard drive recovery near me](https://www.salvagedata.com/) for help. The problem was in the assembly of the control board as far as I understood. This was due to physical damage during cleaning. The heads could not move to the right position. Fortunately, the problem was solved quickly enough. I use it as carefully as possible now.
